The second SV show kicked ass! the crowd was huge, loud, motivating and almost as intense as us. We played our whole set with the revised songs, and we got a good response from it. One Sick Lie did a good ass job also and you can get to there website by typin in www.onesicklie.com . We look forward to seeing every one at our upcoming shows, because every time we play we get bigger and better then ever.

Well the first new show was a success. JoeyJoe adapted well to the style and the crowd seemed to take the new songs in very well. The chemistry onstage is stronger than ever and it will show in upcomming shows. The 7th of September will be one helluva show.

8/2/2001
Well we have decided to make some changes. We might be adding our friend Joey in for vocals, and you can expect our sound to start going to the heavier side. All of the songs that we have already written are going to remain as they are, but a lot less of them will be in our setlists. The ones for sure will be "Eye for an Eye" and "Break Me Down." Well be working on making around 10 new originals with Joey on vocals, and they will be a little different from the stuff you have heard before. Were aiming to have this all situated by our september 7th show. We are also definetly considering a name change.

Gradfest on the 27th went alright, although there wasnt the huge crowd there that everyone thought was gonna be. Our next show is the Iron Island Fest saturday August 4th. Its free, so get your ass down, no excuses this time. The stage is on the corner of Ideal st. and Lovejoy st. We go on at 11:30pm. Before us Down Under and Invention 7 are playing.

6-22-2001
Well things have been going a little slow. We are discussing a possible name change. We were unable to play the PUNKFEST in dunkirk on june 16th even though it was NOT CANCELLED. But i wont mention why. The show wasnt "rained out" because it was under a huge tent, but we will be playing for sure PUNKFEST 2 but the date hasnt been set yet. We are also waiting to be if we made the bill for Iron Island Fest. Chances look really good. The Warped Tour thing, it doesnt look like its goin to Happen. We planned to get a few songs recorded but that went to shit, so we werent able to get a demo in. Another new show we have comming up is the Battle of the Bands (i know, we play a lot of these) at the showplace theater. It will be on July 28th, the day after our show at GRADFEST. That will be one kick ass show... Get more info on these two shows in the SHOWS section.

Holy Shit, there were a ton of people at the battle...It was definetly the best show we have played so far. We didnt win, but the exposure we got was fuckin nuts! We opened with Noiz Box, starting with our heavy stuff first, and then with our punk stuff as usual. It took a few songs to get the crowd goin, but by "Break Me Down" there was a huge fuckin pit. There was a sweet mosh pit during "Open Mind". By the end of our set, while we were playin "Left Alone", a whole shit load of people came on stage with us! Some kid played his harmonica into the mic.

We gave all our tix away so thanks to everyone that came out to support us!, and you people who got free tix from us and didnt go; you missed a great fuckin show.

We talked to Chip from the Unreliables and they are going to record some of our songs for us on June 9th. FINALLY we'll be able to get our music out. Expect some mp3s up in mid June.

5-22-01
Holy Shit, its been a while since we had some News updates around here. The Battle is This Saturday at the Showplace Theater. It sould be fuckin packed towards the end thanks to Figure and Suburban Circus playing right next to each other! Were on at 8:20pm. Well, weve been gettin a lot of new show, so check them out in that section. We talked to the Unreliables about getting a recrding from them so hopefully soon we'll get some mp3s up. ....Dont you Just HATE the band CREED? i fuckin hate them, just wanted to get that out. Anyway, make sure you come to the show dammit, and...thats all.

Well, Silent Voice has played two shows this week. First was on wednesday: the WNYmusic.com "Happening" at the Taproom. We only got to play 3 songs, because there were so many bands (all the bands had a 15 min set time.) We opened with "Eye for an Eye", a favorite of ours. Then we played "Break Me Down" which was recorded will soon air on some local radio show, which is on the main page of our site! We finished with "Violent" which went really well, and kicked ass as always. Heres a pic of the show...

Today we played the Performing Arts Rock Show. That went good too. The sound in the auditorium wasnt that great, but we managed. We played Violent, Taken, Break Me Down, Eye for an Eye and "Self Esteem" by the Offspring in which our friend Chris Shiele sang.If you want to see some pics of the show you should go to our Pics page. ........OUR NEXT SHOW is the battle of the bands, you can read the details in the SHOWS section. We better win. WE COME SO DAMN CLOSE all the time with these battles. 4th place, 3rd place NO! its gonna be first this time. Free reording time is just what we need so we can really start moving.

We have some news on the Funhouse Battle Of The Bands on April 14th. Its going to be 16 and over, tickets from us will be $3 plus a $2 charge at the door unless yer 21. We're going to be playing at 9:20pm and we have a half hour set. It usually runs earlier so we'll probably be playing around 9. Were almost done with a new song(which is still untitled) but we hope to include it into our set. Since Pat has decided to go to Thailand for the week of the show, Nick Canazzi from the punk band American Dream will be filling in for us. Other bands playing will be Figure, Drive, 16 Wheels of justice, F-Fomb and 5 others. If you havent seen Figure live, get the FUCK down to the Funhouse to support them. Also, at the 2nd appening for wnymusic.com, we have been again gifted with the first slot at 8:00pm with absolutely no exposure, simply because we're a "younger band". Well fuck them...we know that we fuckin rock, and they will too. Thats all for now. See ya.

Well, i guess i'll start with the Feb 16th show. It pretty much kicked ass. We used bullet vs Eye's amps. Everything went well. We didnt really expect a lot of people to be there for us but there was. We didnt end up playing the "happening" at the taproom because we were all sick, but theres another one we will be playing on April 4th. The show on March 3rd with Figure went ok. We played pretty well, but there werent too many people there really so that sucked. Besides that everything else went pretty good. After us No Results came on and did pretty good. They did some greenday and MxPx covers. Then Figure came on.....and they kicked ass. Anyway, the guys from No Results got us a slot on April 12th at the Orchard park Roller Rink. Thats all for now. see ya.

We are still looking forward to the Feb 16th show @ the showplace so make sure you get your tix cause we dont have too many left. We will be playing about three brand new songs at this show. Top Shelf Entertainment is working on setting up some shows for original bands. It looks like were definetly interested in this if they can get us some all ages shows. NO pay to play stuff. In other news, FIGURE will be playing at the showplace with DEPLORE on Feb 9th. Both are kick ass bands, be sure to see them.
1/14/2001
Well, our first ESI show went great. I could actually hear my own guitar this time. Bullet vs Eye won. They are fuckin HARDCORE, holy shit. You cant get any more hardcore than those guys. Pyrocide came in 2nd. They were great as well. I heard we came in 3rd. The monitors at the showplace totally fucked up though. All the bands were great. Anyway... heres what some nice person left for us today:
"....well i saw you guys play on Jan 13 of 2001 and let me tell you SILENT VOICE should be called we dont have a fucking clue how to write or play music but besides you guys everything else was A OK if you guys were not there it would have been better off but i think the 11 year old girls dug ya PEACE OUT WHITE POWER FOEVA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Well, were sorry to take the 11 year old girls away from you, tough break. I hope your not too upset. Damn its a shame we got 3rd place, you retarded cocksucker. If you wanted to talk shit, you should've did it at the show. well, see ya later...pablo.
Well, we didnt find out who were opening for yet at the Showplace next month, but we'll let you people know as soon as we find out. See ya.
1/10/2001
Well, the show is almost here. You can still buy tickets off us for $3. We dont have too many left though. Remeber we are playing at 7:40pm. In other news, wejust bought a porta-studio. It cost us $300(actually it costed danny $300, he wanted to pay for the whole thing himself, so i didnt object...) We tested it out and it sounds pretty nice. We'll record a demo on that. We will be going to the Studio in early Feb for a higher quality recording. It will most likely have around 5 songs. ALSO, we are booked at the Showplace on Feb 16th now. We are the opener for a few other bands which are still being booked. These bands will most likely be well known in the wny music scene. Anyway we will go on at 8:00pm and have a 45 minute set. CHECK BACK within the week to find out who we will be opening for.
1/4/2001
Not much is going on right now. We have about 70 tickets sold for next Saturday's show. We still have a lot left so if you want them for $3, contact one of us.
12/27/2000
We have already sold over 30 tickets for the ESI show coming up. We have aso figured out our set during practice today. Here it is: Runaway, Burn, Negative Attention, Ripoff, Left Alone, Noiz Box, Eye for an Eye and Violent. Right now we are making minor changes to Burn and Noiz Box.
12/25/00
OK we have shitloads of news here now. Since we havent been putting newz on the site i'll start with the old news. The ROR Battle of the Bands at the Funhouse on Nov 4th went really well for us. We didnt get to complete our set but we got fourth place, and thats out of like 25 other Bands! Anyway we're through with the whole ROR Concerts thing. A while ago we heard of a company called ESI. I called them up and thats how we got the Showplace gig on Jan 13th. Its a battle with 10 bands. Read more about it in the SHOWS section. ALSO, Ive written a new song and i have complete lyrics. Its a kick ass song and it will fall into the heavier section the our songs. I kind of doubt that we'll be playing this song at our next show because its just too late to start. The show is in 18 days, and we better fuckin win because the 1st place prize is 10 hours of free recording time! We have been planning to go to the studio and make a demo, but with an extra 10 free hours we could make a cd easily. Well that concludes our newz for today, expect at least one update in this section every week.
