Some good ways to kill some time on-line
Americana Music
Association - An
organization dedicated to the Americana and its music forms.
America Song Poem Archives - Remember those ads in comic books saying
that you too could have your poems set to music? Now you can learn more the "business" than you ever
really cared to know.

epicenter of all music? It's still
there.
The Austin Chronicle - An indie newspaper from Austin, Texas, the

Austin City Limits - A TV show so good it should have been
cancelled years ago.

is complete with some mention of Conrad Bain.
CMJ
- One of America's better music magazines.
The focus here is on college rock.
DeFranco Family- "Heartbeat It's a Lovebeat" and
it's not Ani! Proof that the web now
has everything.

music forms.
Dublin Brewing Company - Dublin's other brewery.
Eight Track Heaven - A place to lovingly remember Ferrante & Teicher,
BTO, and America - all in one place.

Jerry!
John Peel - The venerable veteran of the BBC is still
producing excellent radio on Radio 1.
KPIG
- One of the best commercial stations playing Adult-Alternative Album
Americana, or something like that. They
have one of the best sounding webcasts out there.
KRCL -
Music from behind the Zion curtain.
KRCL is Salt Lake City's best attraction bar none. Check out both Troy and the Iceman!
Mojo - One of the better British music
magazine. Tons of CD reviews in every
issue.
Morning
Becomes Eclectic - One of the
best radio programs in southern California, heard every morning on KCRW in
Santa Monica.
No Depression - The definitive music magazine focusing on
Americana, twang, and anything else they like.
Packer Plus On-Line - A great place to learn all about the only
football team that really matters.
Postcard - The best way to fill your emailbox full of
somewhat informative, frequently arrogant, and mostly entertaining chitchat
regarding generally twang and specifically the Uncle Tupelo/Wilco/Son Volt
axis.
The Onion - The most consistently funny newspaper
around.
Quisp - Back by popular demand - the only non-fiber
cereal that matters.
Q - Another of the better British music
magazine. Lotsa CD reviews.
Radio Locator - A good place to start to tune in web radio
stations.
Rootsrock.com - A dot com company with rising dividends.
The Smoking Gun and The Straight Dope are both working to keep us all more informed
and a little bit more safe.
Uncut - A good British music magazine with an
excellent monthly CD.
Vin Scelsa - Freeform radio at its very best - a music
lover's oasis compliments of Vin's excellent menu.
Wacky Races - Long before cartoons were violent or
sarcastic they were just plain strange.
Western Beat - A twanging good television program so good
that CMT has already cancelled it.
