The Band Shows Music Lyrics Videos Discography Gear Links Pictures

Sékin (SAY-kin), previously kind of known as Asian Acoustics, is the product of two guitar playing buddies that decided to make some music, whether it be good or bad. It is said that Sig influenced Nik to start playing, but Sig disagrees. Anyways, Nik and Sig had the idea of a band for a long time (that's where Asian Acoustics comes from), but neither of them really did anything about it. Then, very recently (a few weeks ago (in February-ish)), Nik showed Sig his first poem/song: "Wish Upon A Dead Star". Sig liked it, and added whatever guitar riff he could think of to make it kind of cool. To make a somewhat short story even shorter, Sig and Nik became a band again, decided on the name "Sékin", and recorded their first EP titled "Smile If You Want to Kill Me".

Word spread about the duo, and they started getting good feedback on the CD. Nik and Sig began wishing that Sékin were a full band so they would sound even better. SUDDENLY, in a poof of smoke, a drummer and bassist appeared before them: Matt and Thomme. The two were overjoyed with the new members and began practicing as much as they could, which actually wasn't really that frequent. That is the story behind the band, and if you come to our shows, then you too can be part of Sékin history. Don't you want that? Yes, you do.
