Nancy Werlin, author, and recent nominiee for the 2006 National Book Award for her book Rules of Survivial. Werlin is the author ofThe Killer's Cousin, (winner of the 1999 Edgar award
for best young adult mystery and a list of other awards), Locked Inside, (nominated
for the Edgar Award for Best Young Adult Mystery published in 2000, Black
Mirror, (an ALA Best Book for Young Adults, and a Booklist Top 10 Mysteries
for Youth), and Double Helix (a book that received starred reviews from
Publishers Weekly, School Library Journal, and ALA Booklist in 2004).
She holds a bachelors degree in English from Yale University.
