Well after a lot of thought and without consultation with the other guys, we are not going on with the band. We are going on a hiatus if you will. Sorry to everyone who tried to keep us together and thanks for being good/loyal/awesome fans! Rock on! As to Brian and RJ, I wish them good luck with theire future bands and the bands in which they are presently in.
As for me, I am gonna being taking a break from being in a band and will be doing roadie work for Grand Piano Falling. They are a local band, you can check out their site located on our "Link's Page".
Our last show will be at Adam Loeber's house. He will be playing acoustic and so will we. Friday, September 13, Be there or just sucka cheeta's "you know what" with Heinz tomato ketchup!
Thanks again everyone! Love, Peter
Well after getting about 30 or so e-mails, we have decided to stick together. Atleast for now, we are gonna stick it out. A huge thanks go out to everyone who wrote in! You guys are real rock n' roll. We will put some of the e-mails on the site. So check keep a look out!
Hey, we have a show scheduled on Wendsday, September 5th at Kile Blair's house, e-mail a Sarcasm member for directions. You can visit their web page by going to the links section on the site. Look for "Grand Piano Falling". Even if you don't dig our sound, check out GPF and January Kid, both great bands.
I'm gonna go and squeeze in shower. Hope to see you at the show. And if you come up to me and say "Peter, you are so cool!", I will give you $1!! So make sure you do it!
Well, as you may or not have heard.. Sarcasm may be spliting up. I know, I know its a sad thing and you shouldn't start to cry yet. It's your turn to try and save the band. Alright, here's the plan! I'm calling out to all Sarcasm fans, I want you to send ME (yes, me!) an E-mail (you can click the link above) with your reasons why Sarcasm should stay together or break up. It's sorta like an essay Please intitle the e-mail "Reasons". No more than 600 words! Alright here are your choices for the essays: a) Why Sarcasm should stay or break. -or- b) What was more important the discovery or fire or of spoken language? So think wisely. I will post the best of the ones I get and if I just get one, then I will post that one. If we break up, then there WILL BE NO ALBUM!! So don't foget that.
If this is the last post I make. It was great having you guys as fans and I will miss each and everyone of you. Thanks!
I thought I'd say a little something about whats been going on. It's really nothing, but I am doing everything in my power to not do actual work.
We are trying to schedule something with Grand Piano Falling. Good friends of ours. We can't decide where to play and where will let us. We want to play something at the Cradle, but we really have the Street Scene in mind for something fun. If we do play with them listen for "Floored", Jon has really gotten me into that song. Oh, and Jon is the coolest guru ever! I wish we had someone like that, but we have friends. Grand Piano Falling also took all the ladies away from us, we had them once.. and we will again! I promise you! Let it be known, GPF isn't the only band who can get hot women to follow them around and do everything they say.. well.. okay, they are.
We will be recording our 2nd record soon, hopefully. We do need to get it done to send it off to Hawaii! Call us the "New Beach Boys on the Block". (Sorry, I have a huge ego!) But anyway, you should expect some kind of a compilation sometime in the near future, released by Undies Records. We will have their site on the link page pretty soon, as well as GPF's.
Come on guys! Whats up with the MP3.com thing? We only have like 230 songs played since it's been up. You gotta go play it, even if you hate it. Let's kick Pico's ass! Actually,I've played a lot of Pico on this computer, so it's my fault.
Back to work for me. Send me an e-mail someone.. I get lonely.....
I just returned from traveling to Detroit with some of my friends. I have learned this; the White Stripes are cool; Meg White is hot; I never want to go to Detroit again!
I had a great time, it's just that Detroit really sucks. (Sorry to the fans we have there.) Thirty minutes into arriving in Detroit, we get into a fender bender with some guy and so we have to go to the Police Station and report it. (The man who hit us didn't come with us to the station.. we will call him "Greg".) "Greg" decided he didn't want his insurance to rise and neither did we. Let me say that the Detroit Police men and women suck and are lazy sacks of crap. If you are ever there and get mugged or shot.. just pretend it never happened, because that's how they treat it.
Anyway, we wait for a while and it's weird because the officer who we needed to talk to was just sitting there looking at the wall (show how much they have to do). He calls us up and we make our statement and he takes his sweet time writing it all down and has time to answer his cell phone from his friends. After we finished, we were afraid that "Greg" was going to come here and kill us.. so we got the hell out of there. As we were leaving, guess who decides to show up at the Police Station, "Greg"! I don't think he saw us.
The good part of this trip is that no one was killed, though we did have whip- lash. We stayed at a nice hotel out in nowhere, but it was cool.
The fun is over, school starts tomorrow.
Let me start off this post by apologizing for not keeping it up. As Brian said, we have become too lazy to type out these things anymore. (which is ironic because most of us, atleast I, spend most of our time on the computer.)
Now that that is behind us. Hello! How are you all doing? Good I hope. We've been fine and dandy. We are in our pre-pre- recording phase. We have choosen the songs in which we plan to record, most of them are good, but not all of them can be awesome. I'm referring to how I feel about some of the songs, not the other guys opinons. I'm not going to tell you which ones I do not favor, in hopes that you will decide for yourself. But we do have "Buildings Tumble, Dreams Crumble" on Mp3.com, so please listen to that and drop us a line.. whether it's good, needs work, or just plain sucks! I'm the only one that really cries in the band, but sometimes you just need to have a good cry (I prefer to watch the end of Jerry Mcguire if the need arises.. "You had me at 'Hello'" *tear*).
We have already recieved e-mails about bands that would be will to do us the huge honor of playing with them. Thanks to the people who e-mailed us. Do not think we want you to stop, keep sending them.
We have some decisions that we have to make in the next couple of months and when we decide what we need to decide we will let you "all" know.
Thanks for listening to the blabber.
That's right. We're show-desperate...please help us! If your a local band looking for another band to play with you, don't hesistate to ask us, we'd be happy to open for your show or whatever. Moving on, I'm finding that time to update the site is limited for me and the rest of the band and my webpage building skills are very limited so if your interested in being an official Sarcasm-news-updater-guy/girl...yeah, or a layout/graphic designer for us or both, just e-mail, and I'll get back to you in .0000001 seconds. If you could do any of these things, that would be very helpful and we'll repay you in mountains of Sarcasm merchandise. Out.
I'm gonna start this post by saying that our homie, Peter, is now back in town! Woo-hoo! If you happen to see him on the street, simply say "Welcome back, Pete!". It's been exactly a month since I last updated the news. I'm very sorry for this, I tried doing it the other night but it seemed that we went over our space limit so it wouldn't allow us to save anything...it took us a while to figured that out. Anyway, I'm posting this for three reasons: 1. I've finally gotten anti-lazy to do it; 2. Jordan from The Meanies tortured me to do it; and 3. Because when Peter tried to put up the post, his comp screwed and I was forced to do this for him (*shakes his angry fist*). Well, we're currently attempting to get some shows before the summer ends for your enjoyment. We're trying to pull together a show at the Berkley Cafe or some other local place with The Meanies and Lt. Dan this Saturday, we might be invited to play with The Meanies yet again in Greensboro at some huge gig with many other bands (but this isn't for a while), and we're also trying to find a spot in the Cat's Cradle showcase. If you can help us out in anyway show-wise, email me (click above on my name). I want to give a big thanks to Lt. Dan for allowing us to be on their split with them and Assaulted Pretzel. The cd will have 2 of our songs including "Peter's Imaginary Friend" and "Buildings Tumble, Dreams Crumble". When I get a copy of the cd, it'll be on sale, so I'll let you guys know. Look forward to that. As for recording, we're shooting to do it sometime from the begining August to the end of August...hopefully before the school year starts. Look out for all new hits such as "How I Spent My Summer Vacation", "Game Over", "The Long Walk Home", and many more! Alrighty then, have a nice day. P.S. You may find a few small changes around the site but nothing major.
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!! Sarcasm online is finally back in bussiness. We hope that all of you grateful people out there like our new look as well. Whats with the pots and pans, you ask? Well, with the new album (planned to be recorded in August) being called "The Kitchen Chronicles", it seemed suitable to use kitchen ware as the nifty clicky buttons. If you have your volume up, you should be able to hear a track from our newly recorded demo entitled "Things to Come..." called Buildings Tumble, Dreams Crumble. Always a fan favorite. For those of you who haven't heard the full MP3's on our mp3.com account, you can do so by clicking above on "Sounds". Anyway, back to the real news...Sarcasm and our friends, The Meanies, will be playing a show tommorow night at our very good friend's house (Mike Stark - Official band roadie/bouncer/funny guy). It should be a blast. It will be our last show this summer until about August because our dear friend and drummer Peter will be in Tahoe. So if you guys could possibly come down to Pittsboro for the spectacular show, just e-mail me for directions! That about wraps it up for now, peace out.
