   The Big Bounce(PG-13)
Wide Release; Warner Bros.

This latest Elmore Leonard adaptation has a seemingly ideal leading man in Owen Wilson, who plays petty crook Jack Ryan (Tom Clancy fans, look away). Ryan has skipped town for Hawaii, where he teams with a judge (Morgan Freeman) and falls for a bikini-ed lass (Sara Foster), with whom he hopes to pull off the proverbial final scam. When it turns out that his innocent-seeming gal isn't quite as pure of character as he had initially believed, things get a bit dicey. Critics haven't been overly kind to the flick, but everyone says it's better than the awful 1969 version. The competition at the box office consists of The Perfect Score (which critics gave less than a perfect score) and dance flick You Got Served, so Bounce may make it Big.
