SONGS

sona'mbula
everynight i see your darkened face. everynight i see your darkened room. everynight i see your darkened eyes. at night i'm not dreaming. everynight i see the moon hang high. everynight i see it laugh at me. everynight i look right back and say. my life is mine alone. // and every night i sleepwalk to the ocean blue, embrace the chill, embrace the silver glow, and every night i sleepwalk to the edge, sleepwalk to the edge of the world. // every morn i see the sun burst out from the ground, from its hiding place. every morn it beams around the lands. it burns, it lives, it brings. (it burns, it loves, it lives).
comments: written on my birthday, recorded the day after. everything was recorded normally and on the spot, except for the third line of each verse. i'm happy with this one.

icicles
it's cold. snow glistens all around. the icicles are hanging off my hair, and you, you're standing right there. you smile, a forlorn lost smile. and you look me in the eye and say, "the tides are changing once again." // now it seems as though you're here to stay. seems as though you're here to stay but you're gone. // the icicle has finally broken off. there's no one else to catch it but me. and you know what? that's okay.
comments: yucky lyrics, but i like the melody and the solo. uhmm, it was the first song i recorded fully in a long while, so i was glad to make it.

UNFINISHED SONGS / ROUGHS

dying cow
oh woah, the dying cow x 2 / help the cow get back on its knees / help it be okay
origin: one day, babyface and i were talking about his saxaphone. and he said, "it sounds like a dying cow!" date: december 27, 2003

untitled embrace
close your eyes. can't see, but can you feel? it brushes up against your blackened soul. cuz everything is small, big, any size -- whatever's there is there, embrace it now. moonlight spreads around the mountains, cities, and plains. see the stars shimmering bright, piercing the hardest of hearts.

RANDOM

the improv's
comments: three improvs and a ditty joined together. they were all done in the dead of the night, haha. buttermilksloth was a dude i met via weezer message boards; his name was trevor. tedmund is my friend, moo. and katie is the beatiful kattarino. all this is played with the old old guitar. the cool thing about this is that there is always a transition word between each improv. "song" links the first two and "ass" links the latter two. WARNING. my voice is very grainy in all of these.
