My name is Mary-Kate Carrigan. I'm originally from Salem, Massachusettes, USA and attended the Salem Witch Institute but during my 5th year my father got a promotion in his job and was sent to work in London. We all moved and I finished my witch schooling at Hogwarts and graduated with honors. I am 75% witch, and 25% muggle. My mothers side of the family is strictly pure blood, and my fathers side is muggles. While a student in Salem Witch Institute and Hogwarts. I was in both Hufflepuff equivalent houses and exceled in muggle studies, witch science such as astronomy and potions. After graduation I decided to take some time and travel. I traveled all around the world. I revisited my hometown Salem, visited Brazil and even France and Africa. It was definitely exhilarating. After a while, though, I decided to start my career of teaching what I loved the most. I taught back at my hometown for a while but missed my family and moved back to London. That's when I came back to Hogwarts and here I am. Professor of Muggle Studies: History and Meteorology. Two of my biggest passions although I do have a knack for charms and potions. I am one of the more leinent professors however I will make sure work gets done. I want everyone to be the best, and find out what they are great at. Whether that is at natural science or charms. Its all about being true to who you are and what you have the strongest passions for. You will learn that from me because I walk that road daily. I will befriend just about anyone. I love interaction with eager students. So no one ever hesitate to come to me. |
