Bio

Micah (singing, screaming, guitar) is friends with Jonathan(guitar, screaming). Micah meets Troy (drums) through eric (proactive stoner, newspaperman). The three make a band (Used Naked Bloody), Jonathan meets Jenny (sexy girl, fantastic ass), goes crazy, quits band. Micah and Troy make new band (Pidgeon, our band). Micah is friends with Anya (sings pretty, has car,). Anya joins the band to sing nice, delicate stuff that makes Micah feel silly and ineffectual. Anya knows Katie (adorable, red mohawk, five feet tall, knows kung fu, has bass). Micah meets Katie, teaches (forces) her to play the bass and join the band. Katie knows Val (singing, guitar). Troy meets Val who impresses him with her drumming. Micah hears of val and her ability to play the guitar and sing at the same time, arranges a meeting. Micah is impressed by Val’s guitar playing and singing and various other attributes. Val joins the band. After a few shows it becomes painfully apparent that while Anya enjoys singing and the idea of being in a band, she does not care for performing and is gently urged to take a background role as a visual artist (art featured prominantly in CD booklet and on website to this day). Band sends out demos, meets labels, likes Absoulutely Kosher (The Wrens, Pinback) arranges to sign documents. Katie meets Becca (troll) who convinces Katie move to oregon (lesbian orgies). Label gives sceptical look. Band searches desperately for replacement bassist, eventually decide on Mikey (amazing player, sweetheart). Micah has delusions of grandure and slyly adds third guitarist (Jonathan, no longer crazy...well...) by disguising him as a “noise artist” (load of crap) and telling him to bring a sampler to practice. Jonathan doesn’t remeber the sampler (boss, dr. sample), brings Triple Rectifier (mesa boogie, loud as hell, amplifier) instead. Band becomes full string quartet, micah secretly gloats over success of three guitar parts (baroque). The band makes a record (from gutter w/ love). It is released to widespread critical acclaim and mentions in Spin and Magnet (we feel vindicated, rush to show big time writeups to parents and ex-girlfriends). We get a play on the WB’s Gilmore Girls (Too funny to be a lie, $14,000 freaking dollars!) We imagine Joe (bass player tryout who didn’t think we were worth his time) hanging himself in his mom’s garage. All is well. N.Y. kicks ass (CMJ), L.A. sucks it (fluffy hair, white belts). Mikey goes crazy (was all along), swears, quits band by dissapearing and not calling (ever) and flaking on cermonial last show together. Band puts out call for bass player (again). Alexi (smart, kind, good at Halo) surfaces and fits the bill. Band goes on to greatness (maybe). Prepares to record Album 2 at Tiny Telephone in San Francisco (Vanderslice: very nice). Hope you didn’t read all of that.

Anyways,
m
