Liam Gallagher (born William John Paul Gallagher) is the lead singer of Oasis and is also the younger, more "troublesome" brother of fellow band member Noel. Known for his powerful and edgy voice, it is obvious that Liam gives the band the edge and attitude that it needs. He is one of the original members of Oasis although he hasn't not endured in the songwriting end of a band until recently. Liam's original band was named Rain and contained other ex members of Oasis. Liam did co write a song called Take Me with ex band mate Bonehead around 1993. The singer is sometimes overshadowed by his brother's song writing ability in the band.

Liam has a notouriously "bad boy" reputation for rock n' roll, which includes drugs and sex. He gained this rep after a number of events, such as sticking his fingers up to the press and spiting on the stage at the MTV Awards in 1996.
