November 5, 2003 - hi, my name's kyle and i like music. i play guitar, bass, drums, a little bit of piano, a little bit of cello, harmonica, and i sing. i also own a violin that i've been meaning to learn how to play for a while.
i played bass for a band called Drag the Lake from spring/summer 2002 until march 29, 2003. they are a melodic hardcore band from here in milwaukee who were incredibly talented (they broke up in september of 2003). i left the band, on good terms, to have more time to work on this solo proect. i also played in numerous cover bands in high school, but those don't really count.
so this is what i'm doing now. just me with my guitar, and a bunch of other instruments in the "studio". my influences for this project include: elliott smith (my favorite artist of all time and probably the reason that i'm doing this), jeff tweedy, neil young, tom petty, tom waits, the beatles, robert johnson, pete yorn, jack johnson, son house, and so many others.
i am currently writing and recording a record. it's going kinda slow but it'll be done eventually.
