Okay, so normally I don't take much seriously on this site because, hey, it's just the Internet, but this time
this is a major matter dealing with President Bush's proposed energy plan. If the so-called "Energy Plan" passes, it will mean serious harm to the environment not only in the places
he proposes to do massive damage but to the entire planet. He doesn't seem to realize that. The plan has already passed in
the House with a 240 to 189 vote but it's not over yet. The Senate still has to pass the bill. That's where you come in. What you need to do is write or e-mail your Senator, explaining your view on the plan and urging him/her to vote against it.
It doesn't have to be long but it does need to be clear. If you're stuck for ideas, you can check out the letter I wrote to mine below this message. I took most of the info in my letter from another letter I got from Jackson Browne
which you can read down below as well. His also includes a few articles and a shoutout from Mike D of the Beastie Boys and some advice for writing. Jackson would also like you to email copies of the letters you write to
him at environment@jacksonbrowne.com, if possible. If you don't know who your Senators are (don't feel bad, doesn't suprise me), there's a link down below for that too. Also, my friend Mike at SaveOurEnvironment.com asked me to post
a link to the Bush Energy Plan petition on the site there. It's pretty self-explanatory so I won't go into much detail, just go check it out.
