Melanie met Jake, a record producer, in a studio in Dublin in late 1998. I think the tabloid press had a fair crack at ruining anything that might of happened. Melanie never said that Jake was "serious" but then she started being photographed with him, and all of a sudden the tabloids are speculating the wedding date.
In Cosmo Melanie said how frustrating she thought it was. "It makes me think Arghhhh I've only just met him!" She also said "I think of myself as young, free and single and I know Jake won't be upset to read this."
It doesn't look like anything ever came of Melanie and Jake...
