MCH was formed in Sept. of 2003 with Rick Carvalho on drums, Tom Pelletier playing the guitar, Pat Flaherty on bass, and with Rob Smith on vocals. The band is out of Bellingham, Massachusetts.
The original sounding and catchy songs, you can listen to over and over again. You could probably categorize the young and talented band as a pop-punk and screamo mix. MCH falls into the punk genre, and they wouldnt have it any other way.
The first song on the "It Just Tastes Better" EP is called "Great Expectations." It is based on the novel by Charles Dickens. The basic idea of the song came from the second half of the chorus which is mostly inspired by that novel, and the rest was built on it and jotted down in Algebra class.
The second song is called "Another Story Of." On that song, the verses are about last summer when Rob was on the day before going away for a month to another country and he spent the whole night talking to the "girl of his dreams." It was later finished when he came home and nothing came of the relationship (what is left of it is described in the next song).
The third song is entitled '"Because" Isn't an Answer.' The verses on the song were written based on a past relationship and built on the emotions given off from the song. The chorus was written with the rest of the song, but then re-written based on things Rob said to that same girl when he got in a major car accident (drove into a friggen house).
The fourth song is called Eleven. This is based on a relentless, obnoxious, annoying, and stupid bitch-of-an-ex-girlfriend who wouldn't accept that the feelings felt before were gone. The title has a significance meaningful in the aspect that she will know it's about her. heh.
