Son of O. and M. Eddins Soldier of Co. D. 11th Ala Vol. Reg. (these are on the same stone; they were sons of Oswell and Mary Stewart Eddins. The family lived on "Eddins Hill" not far from the church. Both sons died in Confederate service).
