The Paradox is in Trouble! Yep, you heard me right. The Paradox theater recently lost their funding, and as most of you know, they are non-profit, so they can no longer afford their current building. They are currently in search of a new location and in the mean time they are going to be hosting some Benefit shows to help them in the process. Their goal is somewhere around $5000. You must be thinking, "But, i don't have $5000. What can I do to help?" Well first of all, you can show your support by going to their benefit shows and not sneaking in! Plus, any donation will help, no matter how small, so if you bring an extra dollar with you to the show, it will do a small part to help keep the Paradox alive.
"The Paradox has hosted some of the best shows in recent memory. Local music lovers have been treated to performances by the likes of Waxwing, Carissa's Wierd, Tight Bro's From Way Back When, Aveo, Kill Sadie, The Locust, American Nightmare, Bright Eyes, Death Cab For Cutie, Rocky Votolato, Pedro The Lion, Damien Jurado, Planes Mistaken for Stars, The Lords of Lightspeed, Low, Botch, Himsa, His Name Is Alive, 764-Hero, Juno, Ida, Rosie Thomas, Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, Vigilantes of Love, Raft of Dead Monkeys, Starflyer 59, Supine to Sit, The Troops, Bug in Amber, Peter Parker, Pretty Girls Make Graves, The Ziggens, and the Prom among others." Also, be sure to check the Paradox's website for upcoming updates on the situation and additional ways you can help out.
