...W E L C O M E...

Hello and welcome to my webpage. This page has a relatively easy concept- it's all about me, me, and a little bit of me thrown in for good measure. I'm just one person, so this site is not all up and running, nor is it complex or intricate in any way. I have things in my life that are more important, thanks.

...n e w s / u p d a t e s...

Thursday, September 20th, 2001- 6:01 PM EST. Okay, I've been updating at relatively the same time every week. It's spooky. Anyway, the hot news on NME.com is that the Strokes are releasing 'Is This It' in the US without "New York City Cops" on it, but rather with a new song (a "live favourite") and instead of it coming out this Tuesday, it'll come out on October 9th. Oh well, now I have a reason to buy the US version besides the different cover. Hooray. Yesterday in community prayer, we prayed for Mikey Welsh, the bassist from Weezer. That's so nifty, and I didn't even put it up! Someone is our school is pretty keen. Oh, I have my own magazine now! It's called Happy Happy Fun Zine and when I get the time I'll put it online. My. Life. Is. Boring. Tomorrow we're going to see the Glass House, the movie. Woo woo. Hold me back. I've been obsessively listening to Whiskeytown's 'Pneumonia'. It's really sad, and not even because Ryan Adams is a fox, but because I actually find the songs downright toe-tapping! Help! Alt-country ahoy!
Anyway, while we're on the subject of Ryan Adams, the other night I was telling Emily about what a good album it is and what a fox he is in our special little chat room, and then the next morning, her mother says to me, "So who is this Ryan Adams?". I nearly died. I managed to stammer "Uh...a lead singer." All day I've been walking around with "Trouble" by Coldplay in my head, 'cos that's the premiere video on MTV2 today. Hold me back. I've also been singing "he's a boy..." from "Yes" by the Manic Street Preachers the whole day. It's getting annoying. That's been my exciting week, but hey! NME is good this week, and I'm happy.

what's on the stereo today? 'black celebration' by depeche mode, 'free all angels' by ash, and 'pneumonia' by whiskeytown. on the winamp today is "lazy confessions" by the moldy peaches. I almost typed the moldy peachers. ha ha.

Thursday, September 13th, 2001- 6:27 PM EST. Ergh, school has been way too long. It's been a week and I'm drained. Curse Advanced Geometry! Anyway, this week wasn't exactly happy, with the tragedy and all that, but I'll try to keep my update upbeat. Yesterday I couldn't get on Aimster, but now I can, so that's cool. I'm downloading "New York, New York" by Ryan Adams and "Don't Falter" by Mint Royale. Woo. Er, my CD came in! The whole thing! It was supposed to come in last Friday, but only the case came. Smart. But Tuesday, the whole thing came! It's brilliant, and NME gave a good album a 10 for once! Hooray! My page on the Boys We Own site is updated. Visit it!. It has a snazzy front page and everything with graphics I made! Hurrah! In Guidance yesterday, I scared the new counselor by putting my liking for Welsh people on my 'All About You' form. Oh well...Anyway, that's it. Nothing else special has happened, except today we had an assembly on "club drugs". Fun.

What's on that stereo/Winamp today? On the Winamp is Bright Eyes, the Strokes, and Echo & The Bunnymen, on the stereo is the first Elastica album, the 'Essential Drive' compilation from the August 2001 issue of Q magazine, and another one of my famous compilation CDs! On my discman is 'Is This It' by the Strokes. Thank God for that.

Thursday, September 6th, 2001- 5:04 PM EST. Oh poo, I've ruined by two day in a row chain. Oh well, I've had more important things to do. Not really, but anyway...I started school today. Hold me back. Excitement. Today was only a half day, so nothing too strenuous. After school, we went to Repo, Peace of Pizza, and Borders. I got NME and uh, the Fader (never read it before, but it had the Strokes on the cover) and ordered 'Is This It' by the Strokes from Repo, and it'll be there tomorrow! With the banned cover! Ooh! Anyway, I cut my hair. It's short(er), but not too drastic. It looks nice, I can actually wear it down. Thank God. The Charlatans are coming to the TLA on September 16th (my half birthday! Mummy, I found a good present...). I was added as a parent on the Adopt-A-Primals thing, which you can see here. It's really cute, and someone else signed my guestbook because of it! Yay! Anyway, Teresa is in some of my classes, and so is Anne. That's good 'cos I haven't seen them since June. Woo-hoo. The Video Music Awards on MTV are on tonight. Oh dear. I just want to see if Weezer win best rock video and see how bad Staind bomb during their live performance. Well, I have to go. Even though I don't have any homework (yet), it's a school night. I hate those words...

what's been on that stereo today? I haven't changed it in a while, it's a compilation I made. Just the one though, the other two are in my CD case. Right now it's "The Wrong Girl" by Belle & Sebastian, and after that it's "Charlotte" by Kittie. Call me eclectic if you must.

Monday, September 3rd, 2001- 5:13 PM EST. Oh mah gawd! I've actually updated two days in a row! I'd just like to tell you that I am slowly but surely changing the colours on every page, and on the basic page about me, I added two more favourite actors (Jason & Robert Schwartzman). Hold me back. I'm on a sugar high and just a minute ago I was running and/or bouncing around the computer room to "Soma" by the Strokes. Nuuuuuurgggggggh. I just had a Diet Dr. Pepper and some vanilla fudge, so forgive me. Anyway, that's about it, and I'm waterlogged from the pool, so au revoir for now.
