At recent JWA-United Wrestling events, there have been several injuries due in part to a sense of lawlessness among wrestlers and staff. As a result, JWA-United Wrestling has instilled the following rules (in addition to all rules currently in place), which shall be strictly enforced:

There will be no Commissioners, General Managers, or Guest Hosts. JWA-United Wrestling will select a President who shall have the final say in all decisions. The President may not be a member of the current roster, nor may he/she compete in any sanctioned JWA-United Wrestling match.

Championships shall not be defended in three-way, four-way, etc., matches. Further, a singles championship cannot be defended in a tag team match, and vice versa. Male wrestlers cannot challenge for a women's championship.

Wrestlers cannot hold more than one JWA-United Championship at a time. If a reigning champion wins another championship, he/she must choose a title to vacate.

A JWA-United Championship must be defended at least once every six months or the title will be forfeited. For current champions, this rule goes into effect as of today's date (4/1/10); a current champion must defend his/her title at least once in the next six months. A request for an extension may be submitted in writing to the President, and it will be his/her sole discretion weather or not to grant the extension.

When competing in a tag team bout, wrestlers must make use of tag ropes. In order to make a legal tag, the wrestler outside the ring must be holding a small rope tied to his/her team's corner's top turnbuckle when tagging his/her partner. (In the event that tag ropes are not available, the wrestler outside the ring must have one hand on the top turnbuckle in order to make a legal tag.)

The women who wrestle in JWA-United Wrestling shall not be referred to as divas, knockouts, sirens, or any other demeaning names. They are WRESTLERS.

It is not legal to attempt to remove the mask of a masked wrestler. This may result in a disqualification.

Due to the fact that some venues that host JWA-United events have low ceilings, and also for the safety of the competitors, maneuvers from the top rope are banned. A maneuver off the top rope will result in an automatic disqualification.

The following will also result in an automatic disqualification: intentionally throwing an opponent over the top rope to the floor; a low blow to an opponent; and slamming an opponent's head into the ring post.

Finally, there is absolutely no tapping out. This is Professional Wrestling, not a mixed martial arts competition. If a wrestler wishes to submit, he must verbally indicate this to the referee.

The preceding rules are effective immediately.
