~It's Here! That's right the annual Ghoul A Go-Go contest! Where they find the best female rock band in the country! Each year the winner of the contest goes on to have the number one hit song int he country. But there's one problem, the groups always seem to disappear and are never heard from again!
Is it just a cast of one hit wonders? But that is not deterring the Darlings or the Soultanglers two of the cutest/toughest rock bands going! And they are both staying at the Whitewood Mansion. Is that place haunted? Is there a diabolical plan a-brewing? Can two female rock bands spend the night together in a haunted house without driving each other crazy? It's a spook fest! It's a musical! It's a haunted shindig. Whatever you call it, it's a Haunted Happenin'!~
-----This movie should not be taken for a serious horror movie. If you do, you will be disappointed. This film is comedic horror at it's best. That means you won't be seeing any nudity or boatloads of gore. But you will see light-hearted humor along with some thrills and chills thrown in there for fun.
The one thing I liked is how they used miniture cities and cars when they panned inbetween scenes. This film completely reminds me of the old Monkee's television show, from the music, to the acting, it really has that old feel to it. Throw in a little Scooby-Dooish mystery and you have Haunted Happenin's all over the place.
If you are a fan of light-hearted horror then you will definately want to check this film out. If they had a little larger budget, we could have had a blockbuster on our hands here or at least a contender that would have blown 'Josie and the Pussycats' out of the water.
