$50 - Tube Works, Real Tube preamp by B. K. Butler. Great real tube sound. 12AX7 tube, rack mountable. Use as a preamp/overdrive unit or use it to record direct. Features include line or instrument in and out, footswitchable boost and bypass (use it like a distortion pedal-footswitch not included...pick one up in any music store). Lots of controls to help dial in the perfect tone: drive, contour, bias, master, hi, mid, low. Drive knob is a little scratchy...probably needs a little cleaning.
