Intro: So, something happened that kinda sucks. My cat knocked a glass of water over my laptop and I haven't the quid to make repairs, atm. So! Until the arrival of such a fine day as will afford me money to throw about... this site exists to house black and white scans of art that remains 'complete' yet 'incomplete'. Enjoy if it is at all possible for you to do so... email

Drabble: I employ standard computer paper along with bic mechanical pencils (the cheap-o kind) - but I must take this opportunity to pay due homage to the uni-ball gel pen, 'signo' series: 207. I picked about five up at Staples last week, and they're the best drawing pen I've ever used. The ink is smooth, free flowing, does not bleed, gathers nicely, does not stick or clog - I've used the same pen to ink five shade-heavy drawings and not even half the ink tank is empty, yet! Fantastic. I am very pleased.

Randomly: Here is a shot of my portfolio cover...

Lord of The Rings and its Corresponding Fandom

  • Tony Chattin, concept drawings. Tony is BellaMonte's unlovable mastermind ruffian. He is featured in her tale, Treasures. I am, perhaps... the only Tony Chattin fan. On this Earth or Middle Earth.
  • Tony All Prettied Up, much handsomer than originally intended. But it is him, all the same!
  • Costume Concept, I liked it better in pencil - he's Tony in pencil - once in ink, he morphs into Sirius! Grr.
  • Roscorunya, self-portrait in Tolkienesque
  • Young Mr. Bilbo Baggins, wow! An actual... Tolkien.. character! He's got some serious hair going on here. Something I'll remedy in Corel.
  • Haldir, a quick sketch. Up in a tree! Really, what were you expecting? He looks uncannily jolly. I wonder if Lego has let him in on the pipe weed secret...

    Harry Potter

  • The Marauders, will I ever get around to colouring this?
  • Sirius & Remus on a Long Deserved Holiday, why do brits fly to America and go straight to Disneyland? Why not visit the Grand Canyon (a big big hole)? Or Washington DC? Our president is far more amusing than a cartoon mouse...
  • Professor R.J. Lupin, I'll always love this one, especially...
  • Severus
  • The Prisoner of Azkaban, a couple of years ago, I began to to adapt the third book to comic form - quite an ambitious endeavour. I eventually gave up to pursue other things, but I did finish drawing Chapter 1. I've yet to decide if I will ink and upload it...

    Snape Is Love
While, officially, I'd like to state that this phenomena is monstrous, unnatural, and
wrong_ I'd rather think to say that_ it was an opportunity too hilarious to pass up_

    Miscellany

  • Andy
  • Aramis d'Herblay, the great... or 'not so great'... machinator.
  • Dr Maturin, this was a gift for my dear (dear) friend, Melissa Russel - in thanks for her comaraderie, support, affection and all those other sugary terms which I'm certain will make her absolutely ill ;) This is the very first of what, I'm sure, will be a series of illustrations based on Patrick O'Brian's Aubrey-Maturin novels; the duo played by Russell Crowe and Paul Bettany, as is right and natural... NEW!
  • Captain Aubrey, as I said, above. Read today of how Mr R. Crowe got into it with his bodyguard and nearly bit the poor ol rugby star's ear off. What kind of madman picks fights with a rugby lad, anyway? Lunatic! God. Russell Crowe is like... the Ernest Hemingway of the acting profession... NEW!

    Hades / Mythos

  • Persephone, this was a birthday present for both a friend and one of my biggest artistic influences, Bevin Brand, of WenchPress.com. She coloured it :D
  • Party Games, Apollonius, Hecate, Belit and Persephone - a gift for Stacy Parker, friend and talented artist. NEW!

Star Wars: Kyp Durron / JEDI Academy

  • Kyp Durron, rolling his trousers up before jumping into a lake. I sketched this in 2000 when I was an ordinary on the Atlantis (gak!) ... dunno why I waited so long to finish it. It was always one of my favourites!
  • Simple Tricks, here's a half finished scene I drew in comic form, taken from Chris Cassidy and Tish Pahl's excellent short story (one of my favourites).
  • Corran.. er.. Keiran, from my god-awful - still - unedited, JEDI Academy.
  • Kirana Ti & Dorrsk Eteto, another from JEDI Academy. A friend of mine titled this one: 'The Martyrdom of St. Anthony'...

Star Wars: Rogue Squadron: Rebel Pilots Comic

Here's something I stumbled across! My old inks of the comic I did for Rebelpilots.com. Sorry I haven't got the coloured versions anymore. If anyone gets a kick out of them, send me a line and I'll see if I can't pester Jim Fisher for the old finished ones. Anyone who enjoys this gallery owes tribute to Melia - who bugged me about RPC for years...

    Star Wars: CGF: Katana Fleet

Sifting though my attic recently, I stumbled upon a cache of old abandoned works: one of which was the infamous 'Katana Fleet Comic' of 2000. I'm uploading this piece purely for its nostalgic value, and certainly not because it is a stunning piece of work ;)

  • Boks, some concept art (practice copies of Phil Spence's work).
  • Another Comic, this is an abandoned Rogue Squadron comic which I stick in this section, because it, cunningly, features a few random Kats stuck piecemeal into the background. Panel 2, Enigma, Angelus and Belit-Sheri are sitting at the bar, being served by Boks. ThunderKate and DashSabre are getting cosey, to the side. Panel 3, Stormtroopers break up Dash and Kate. The rest of the comic features Rogues, Wes Janson, Plourr Ilo and Hobbie Klivian.
