UPDATED: September 20, 2002

September News:
Check out the latest photos of Ramón, courtesy of www.jensbaseballpage.com.

August News:
After a prolonged hitting slump, Ramón has picked up the pace this month.  He was recently featured in an MLB.com article, "MLBeat: Everyday Ramon," which discusses his importance to the team.

April News:
It's a boy!  Ramón and his wife, Bellatrix, had their first child on April 10th.  The newest member of the Hernández family, Randy, weighed in at 7-pounds, 1-ounce. Congrats!

March News:
Ramón signed a four-year, $9.5 million deal with the Oakland A's on March 10th.  See the MLB.com article, "Hernandez signs four-year deal," for more details.

Spring Training photos are here! Check them out in the the photos section.

February News:
Most Major League baseball players took some time off during the offseason. Not Ramón. He played with Pastora de los Llanos in the Venezuelan Winter League and earned the league's batting title with a .376 average. He was also recently awarded Baseball America's MVP honors for the winter ball leagues. To view his 2001-2002 stats and more info, go to the Venezuelan League page.

The career highlights page provides details about his 2001, 2000, and 1999 seasons. The bio section sums up his minor league career and has basic info about him.

The stats page covers Ramón's hitting statistics from his 1999 Major League debut all the way through the current season.  Read some of the things he has said in interviews over the past few years in the quotes section.

Do you have an interesting story about Ramón or pictures that you'd like to share? Send me an email or add your comments to my guestbook. And of course, you can always send Ramón a letter via the good ol' US Postal Service.
