Fire

I wish this felt for me

But I guess I'm numb to the point of life,

It just lost me,

Maybe I'm too small, maybe I'm ugly.

Something has left cold-

These insides

Left them to burn me up.

Burnt me out

But nothing can satisfy.

Fire all too bright,

And we can fire again tonight.

Liar we didn't fight,

But I think that we just spent the light.

Shielding from nothing,

Distress,

But no one is coming to save us.

No one to save us from ourselves,

We might as well give up.

Excuse me sir,

Where do you run?

Like fire urged to burn

Every human twig.

I see nothing to frighten,

But you,

So pleased as you're kindled full.

I'll watch and let waves drown.

Completely everything feels down.

Can you give any room for the rest of us?

Do you truly think that you're the best of us?

I can't tell you how to find yourself.
