A Letter from Jesus about Christmas --

Worth the read.
A Letter from Jesus about Christmas --

It has come to my attention that many of you are upset that folks are taking My name out of the season. Maybe you've forgotten that I wasn't actually born during this time of the year and that it was some of your predecessors who decided to celebrate My birthday on what was actually a time of pagan festival. Although I do appreciate being remembered anytime.

How I personally feel about this celebration can probably be most easily understood by those of you who have been blessed with children of your own. I don't care what you call the day. If you want to celebrate My birth, just GET ALONG AND LOVE ONE ANOTHER.

Now, having said that let Me go on. If it bothers you that the town in which you live doesn't allow a scene depicting My birth, then just get rid of a couple of Santas and snowmen and put in a small Nativity scene on your own front lawn If all My followers did that there wouldn't be any need for such a scene on the town square because there would be many of them all around town.

Stop worrying about the fact that people are calling the tree a holiday tree, instead of a Christmas tree. It was I who made all trees. You can remember Me anytime you see any tree. Decorate a grape vine if you wish: I actually spoke of that one in a teaching, explaining who I am in relation to you and what each of our tasks were. If you have forgotten that one, look up John 15: 1 - 8.

If you want to give Me a present in remembrance of My birth here is my wish list. Choose something from it:

1. Instead of writing protest letters objecting to the way My birthday is being celebrated, write letters of love and hope to soldiers away from home. They are terribly afraid and lonely this time of year. I know, they tell Me all the time.

2. Visit someone in a nursing home. You don't have to know them personally. They just need to know that someone cares about them.

3. Instead of writing the President complaining about the wording on the cards his staff sent out this year, why don't you write and tell him that you'll be praying for him and his family this year. Then follow up. It will be nice hearing from you again.

4. Instead of giving your children a lot of gifts you can't afford and they don't need, spend time with them. Tell them the story of My birth, and why I came to live with you down here. Hold them in your arms and remind them that I love them.

5 Pick someone that has hurt you in the past and forgive him or her.

6. Did you know that someone in your town will attempt to take their own life this season because they feel so alone and hopeless?  Since you don't know who that person is, try giving everyone you meet a warm smile; it could make the difference.

7. Instead of nit picking about what the retailer in your town calls the holiday, be patient with the people who work there. Give them a warm smile and a kind word. Even if they aren't allowed to wish you a "Merry Christmas" that doesn't keep you from wishing them one. Then stop shopping there on Sunday. If the store didn't make so much money on that day they'd close and let their employees spend the day at home with their families

8. If you really want to make a difference, support a missionary-- especially one who takes My love and Good News to those who have never heard My name.

9. Here's a good one. There are individuals and whole families in your town who not only will have no "Christmas" tree, but neither will they have any presents to give or receive. If you don't know them, buy some food and a few gifts and give them to the Salvation Army or some other charity which believes in Me and they will make the delivery for you.

10. Finally, if you want to make a statement about your belief in and loyalty to Me, then behave like a Christian. Don't do things in secret that you wouldn't do in My presence. Let people know by your actions that you are one of mine.

Don't forget; I am God and can take care of Myself. Just love Me and do what I have told you to do. I'll take care of all the rest. Check out the list above and get to work; time is short. I'll help you, but the ball is now in your court. And do have a most blessed Christmas with all those whom you love and remember :
I LOVE YOU,
JESUS

Oak trees do not produce acorns until they are fifty (50) years of age or older!

BEFORE YOU GROW OLD!

HOW TO STAY YOUNG

1. Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight and height.

Let the doctors worry about them. That is why you pay 'them'

2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.

3. Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever.. Never let the brain idle. 'An idle mind is the devil's workshop.' And the devil's name is Alzheimer's.

4. Enjoy the simple things.

5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.

6. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person, who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be ALIVE while you are alive.

7. Surround yourself with what you love , whether it's family, pets,      keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.

8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it.

If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.

9. Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county; to     a  foreign country but NOT to where the guilt is.

10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER :

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take,

but  by the moments that take our breath away.

And if you don't share this with those you love, who cares?

But do share this with someone.

We all need to live life to its fullest each day!!

Worry about nothing, pray about everything!!!

Reflections!

Now Playing: Realizations from this past year!
Topic: A Thought!

As this year winds down, I have been looking back about all that has transpired....If you do not know me and I told you everything that transpired this year, you would think I was BSing on a major scale...but they say "the truth is stranger than fiction!"..LOL!

I have come to clearly see a few truths....

1) You should never expect someone who has slighted you, or messed you over on a major scale to ever be apologetic, if they do then God is in it! If they do not,,, just make sure you are not carrying a grudge, releasing it into God's  hands. He does have a sense of humor you know, in how He handles things.

2)  One of the toughest things is to be in love with someone you had to break off from....though they will make their presence known, in a way it can be a blessing, helping to cauterize the wounds eventually, never an easy thing but when the healing comes you are thankful and hopefully they are.....

3) God does have a sense of humor (as I stated above) or better it gives you a sense of wonderment when you see His hand in situations. Some months back I had the blessing of praying and we giving testimony of the goodness of God with a Brother who had preceded me in a relationship situation I was in, and also I was contacted in praying for a Brother who succeeded me in a different relationship situation...THAT Has To Be GOD! Many Christians or Non-believers would never ever even think of it, but that is the Beauty of Jesus! No rocks, no angst, just a time of the testimony of God's goodness, praying for one another! I mean really I could not have arranged these things if I strong armed or paid people off to do it...LOL!

4) When you are closest to God, is when satan will attack you through one closest to you...Watch that Jack Coe video I posted...old fashioned as it is the man spoke the truth...It is the little things that block us from enjoying God's blessings at times....

5) The biggie for me is that at being Fifty this year , that life can be as good at 50 or far better than before...I am pretty jazzed about that! You reach a point of wisdom, and usage of it hopefully...LOL! Than before!

6) Be thankful when God has blocked things from you in you life, I have looked back at the travel and moves planned and how things cropped up that deterred me, breaking relationships, stressing me, money and time lost, I even put in a lot of graphics time in on projects where I received nothing save a meal.....I gripe not...I am sooo thankful right now, because He is in control!

7) Never put God in a box, you will eventually find yourself the one looking at the four sides from the inside, and He is on the "Outside Looking In!"

8) Even when you are privy to what is going on in someones life or their mate's  keep your mouth shut until God lines up the time to speak! Demos Shakarian said it best : "Never speak until they are ready!"

9) The best thing of all is Jesus has never taken His hand off of me...He has seen me through, and buffered the bumps! He is ordering your steps if you want Him to, and even when you are not!

10) No matter how good your intentions in being there or blessing others, they may not believe you...but that is the thinking of the world...and understandable from the world's view....be a blessing anyway!

Hope you have had a wonderful year if not there is always today to start fresh! Blessings, Brother Tim

About God and Nature!
Mood:  a-ok
Now Playing: Verses and thoughts on His Blessing of Creation......
Topic: A Thought!

Romans 1:

20 For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified Him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

Even if I knew that tomorrow the world would go to pieces, I would still plant my apple tree.
Martin Luther

God writes the gospel not in the Bible alone,
but on trees and flowers and clouds and stars.
~ Martin Luther ~

Where God Wants Me

I heard a story of a businessman of whom I will never know, but I know God wanted me to hear his story.

He was head of security at a company that had invited the remaining members of a company which had been decimated by  the attack on the Twin Towers. They were invited to share their office space.

With his voice full of awe, as he told the stories of why these people were alive and their counterparts were dead. All the stories were just little things. That added up….

You might know about the head of the company who got in late that day because his son started kindergarten.

Another fellow was alive because it was his turn to bring donuts to work.

The one that struck me was the man who put on a new pair of shoes that morning. He took the various means to get to work, but before he got there, he developed a blister on his foot. He stopped at a drugstore to buy a Band-Aid. That is why he is alive.

So if you think about it, when you are stuck in traffic,  miss an elevator, turn back to answer a ringing telephone...all the little things that might annoy you... think to yourself, this is exactly where God wants me to be at this very moment.

May God continue to bless you with all those annoying little things.

A Tiny “Voice” Inside……..

Have you ever been just sitting there and all of a sudden you feel like doing something nice for someone you care for?...THAT'S GOD!.. He talks to you through the Holy Spirit.

Have you ever been thinking about somebody that you haven't seen in a long time and then next thing you know you see them or receive a phone call or letter from them?...THAT'S GOD.!..

There is no such thing as "coincidence."

Have you ever received something wonderful that you didn't even ask for, like money in the mail, a debt that had mysteriously been cleared, or a coupon to a department store where you had just seen something you wanted, but couldn't afford?…THAT'S GOD!... He knows the desires of your heart!...

Have you ever been in a situation and you had no clue how it is going to get better, but now you look back on it and see that it passed?... THAT'S GOD!... He passes us through tribulation to see a brighter day.... Do you think that came across this blog by chance? Think again....He led you to this!

Be Blessed! In Him, Tim

Wanna Good Potential Mate Indicator?
Mood:  surprised
Now Playing: Morning Thoughts......
Topic: A Thought!
I was thinking this morning.....If you want a good indicator, of how well you will be treated by a potential mate, then look at the way they treat their pets, are they loving, or neglecting? Do they train their pets to be good animals or do they train them to be distrustful, and mean? Is there a balance in how they treat them?...Observe.... you would be surprised at the revelation there.....

In received this is in an email , and it sums up how I have always felt about love, loving others, being in love and the difference.........

NO ONE
falls in love by choice,
it is by CHANCE (kismet or fate).

NO ONE
stays in love by chance,
it is by WORK.

&

NO ONE
falls out of love by chance,
it is by CHOICE .

When You Are Made Fun of!
Mood:  a-ok
Topic: A Thought!
I recently posted Bowser and Blues Christmas Song-Hymn-like sounding tune called

"sexist racist homophobic" of which I may have offended some who did not see B and B's humor, and to the point of a couple of people dropping my connections on FaceBook. Those things used to twinge me before yet as I have grown up a bit, I learn like anyone else..and it is a matter of humor, not of offense....this humorous song gave a commentary that they had to clean up their humor so that no one would be offended and they closed the hym-like song with an Ah--People instead of the traditional A-Men...True tongue-in-cheek.

I thought about that as I drove to see my Hanai Parents off on their vacation........

Rest assured when you state the truth.. either straight forward or by humor, it will not be received well..at times.

One is this: If you are living a sinful life and have a conscience then you will take offence at humor pointing out your life style. That can be corrected by true repentance, because every believer can attest that  they were involved in some type of sinful ways when they came to the Lord and received deliverance!

The second  is:  If you are a believer and are made fun of, you can rejoice because you know this earth is not your stop-off , and being made fun of for being a Christian brings Glory to God!

Blessings In Him, Tim

I wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phones?
Mood:  sharp
Now Playing: If you can't say amen, then say ouch!
Topic: A Thought!
I wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phones?

What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?
What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it?
What if we flipped through it several times a day?
What if we used it to receive messages from the text?
What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?
What if we gave it to kids as gifts?
What if we used it as we traveled?
What if we used it in case of an emergency?
This is something to make you go .hmm...where is my Bible?

Oh, and one more thing. Unlike our cell phone, we don't ever have to
worry about our Bible being disconnected because Jesus already paid the
bill!
Makes you stop &
think "where are my priorities?"
And no dropped calls!
