ah, when you see it then you'll understand?

I was pulling out from work yesterday and I looked at the car ahead of me to see their bumper sticker. The Sticker which mimicked a police "do not cross tape" with it's yellow and black colors stated;

"Warning!" "Driver Given To Fits of PRAISE!"

I loved it, and I laughed about seeing it is God's remedy to "fits of road rage" thinking of the scriptures that back that one up....

1 Thessalonians 5: 

16 Rejoice evermore.

17 Pray without ceasing.

18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus    concerning you.

19 Quench not the Spirit.

20 Despise not prophesyings.

21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.

23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

24 Faithful is He that calleth you, who also will do it.

 So the next time you are frustrated being caught in traffic....be given to fits of "Praise"!

Thanksgiving....a time of giving thanks.....and possibly a time of turmoil. I am truly thankful in the midst of some of the disturbing world news, and yet this one article threw me a curve ball..

I was reading of the Ampatuan Philipines Massacre..the article read."The politician whose wife and relatives were among 57 people massacred in the southern Philippines in an apparent bid to stop him from running for governor filed his candidacy Friday for the election", as this article states....it went on to state this man the "vice mayor of Buluan township, did the unthinkable when he decided to run in May 2010 elections. Having received death threats, he sent his wife, sisters and other female relatives Monday to submit his papers, hoping that women would be spared the kind of violence that regularly reigns in the region."

I am sorry for his family, and especially for his relatives..The unthinkable is not the stated action of him registering, it is sending your wife and relatives to take a possible hit for you...I guess I look at the measure of a man, and see no balls here.....Benito Aquino this guy is not... Aquino did not send Corrie to do his bidding, he knew Marcos would try to assasinate him, yet he went because he was "A Man" not some nutless guy hiding behind his religion..I am a Christian, yet I know of no religion period! None of which  want a man to not take care of his responsibilities. 

He did not go to register himself but sent his own wife and relatives....that is beyond my grasp...I know his religion is different from the faith that I hold to, yet whatever his is supposed to be based on a rudiment of the Mosaic law, yet even against the martyr aspect of his own religion....to do it yourself .. that is beyond me.....

I am not picture perfect in my life especially marriage, and have been through more than my share of divorce...nothing I am proud of...yet the mercy and healing of Christ had to break through. I cannot not ever think where I would have released an ex-wife or a wife to do my bidding in a situation like the above mentioned..I am reminded of scripture where Paul encourages..yes, even charges men to take care of their wives....

Ephesians 5: 

23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
