Bio
GASTROPOD is a guitar-based indie-rock
band based near Nashville, TN. Founded by Brennan Hughes, Gastropod
has existed in several incarnations since 1996. The current core
lineup includes Jason McDougal (mostly drums), Kevin White (mostly lead
guitar), and Jeremy O'Clair (bass).
Upcoming Shows Thursday, January 8, 2004 -- at Govan's Gathering Place on the square in Gallatin. Songwriter's Showcase 7-10pm, with two other guests. Mostly unplugged, acoustic numbers in keeping with the comfy coffee-shop atmosphere. Free show. All ages. News Updated December 17, 2003 Recent recording sessions -- The Gastro-guys have met three times at Brennan's house in November-December and laid down some live and semi-live tracks. Some of these recordings will be made available on the IUMA MP3 page. New Archives Website -- Official band historian Brad Cobb of Marion, IL has recently put together a ridiculously exhaustive website chronicling the recording and performing history of Gastropod, in its various forms. New CD coming soon -- A CD of new material is in the works. Hopefully, a version will be available for sale at the Jan. 8 show. Meanwhile, most of the tracks are available for download on the MP3 page at IUMA. IUMA is having problems, though, due to server maintenance. So some of the MP3s dont' work right now. Sorry.
