Authority to fundraise

Fundraising

Now, as fundraising goes, I've only just joined up for the Trekforce project, so I really haven't completed any yet, other than working pretty hard all summer - first in the Pharmacy, in which I've have a weekend/holiday job for a couple of years - and now for Group4Securicor - which is truly riveting, but if it means I can travel, that's fine by me.

The Trekforce project costs £2590 - which is no mean feat in itself - but in addition to this, I will also have to afford flights, inoculations, equipment etc. While I intend to pay for the rest of my travel plans purely through working until Christmas, Trekforce is a registered charity (no. 1005452), which I have authorization to fundraise on behalf of (Letter of Authorization) , and I intend to hold some fundraising events to go towards the cost of this.

My fundraising plans currently include holding a quiz night - early November - and I will also run a raffle in conjunction with it.

I'm also in the process of applying to various grant-making trusts, and seeing if I can gain sponsorship from any local companies. If you would like to support me in this, email me, or click on the 'Make a Donation' button below, I would be perfectly willing to do something for yourself/your company in return - for example, photos of my self wearing your T-shirt while doing the project in Malaysia, or prepare a report and/or presentation once I am back - and before I go as well if you like!

If you, or your company, wish to sponsor me I would be extremely grateful, and would be quite happy to host your logo or mention your name, with some kind words on my website. I would also mention you in any media I may have, should you wish.

It really is very simple to donate - all you need do is follow the groovy little 'Make a Donation' button below. It is setup through Paypal and is fully encrypted, and therefore very safe. All the money will go directly to my Trekforce project and will be spent on extremely worthwhile rainforest conservation.

The greatest thing in the world is not so much where we stand, but in which direction we are going
