July 22nd
This is my finaly day in DC, and I am more than happy to leave. It really can wear you down. So I'm all packed and organized, and ready to take a road trip. We say our final good-byes, which is getting a bit tiresome, and head up to Delaware, where we'll be spending the night at a bed and breakfast. I'm the lucky one who gets to drive, and one thing I noticed about driving in the east is that there are about 10 million toll booths! Very annoying, especially when you have to dig out $6 worth of dimes and quarters. Fuck that! I probably spent about $100 on tolls, and and highly irritated, but we get to out B & B, and settle in. As I am about to take a nap, Mom announces that we are right now going to the DuPonts house, a very wealthy family who turned their masion into a museum, whoop-de-doo. So I'm dragged around that place without a spot to sit, but luckily, the house is very beautiful, with many fine things in it, and a lovely reflecting pool. They have tiny ponds with the large japanese goldfish. Those animals always amaze me for some reason, so I sit and stare for a while. And finally it's time to go, and we go to dinner. I think I had some bad mussels, because I felt a bit peckish afterwards. Ick.
