Jesus! My fucking alarm didn't go off!!! So I was again late for work. Rrrrr. Someone I guess thought it would be amusing if they changed the time from 8am to 8pm. Crappy day in general. I can tell if it's going to be a bad day just by how I wake up in the morning. Not so good. but the evening actually turned out all right. I went to dinner at a place called Flat Top Grill, where you pick outthe different ingredients and the chef cooks it for you. I like that idea, who ever came up with it is a genious in my books. And the desert was divine-starberries and angelfood sqaures on a skewer you dip in chocolate and peanuts..Mmmmmmm...... And on our way home, I spotted a fireworks stand, so of course I pulled over and we got all sorts of goodies! Noise poppers, sparklers, and mini fireworks. So being delinquents, we threw them at cars, and if they stopped, sped off in the oppositedirection. Whee it was fun!!

I went to a really nice BBQ tonight-remember I live in DC, and they flew it on from Texas from a famous BBQ place in my town! It was wonderful, ribs and beans and wine..just heaven! The hosts had a cat, and it seemed harmless enough, but when I reached down to pet, it scratched me and hissed like I was Satan! And damn that hurt. I was about the last one to leave, and was a bit tipsy, so I walked back to my dorm and passed out.. Not very charming.

Day off..

June 27th

Whatever. I went after to work with some co-workers I hardly knew to a bar called Bullfeathers. I get pretty quiet around a large group where I don't really know anyone very well, so it was a bit akward, and I had to sneak out every once in a while as to not panic. I don't know why big groups do that, but they have that affect on me. But, one of the guys was nice enough to get me some Margaritas, so some of the stress just flew away--poof. I finally ended up being one of the last to leave, and trudged home in the rain, half-drunken. Not a fun evening...

Sooo sleepy.. My Mom's old college roommate was in town for the eveing, and her son works with me at my office. So being as gracious as she was, she invited me to dinner-free food!!! Yay! So went to dinner, and had a delicious steak with green beans and a glass of white wine. Divine! That was short and sweet though, because her son wanted to meet up with some school friends, and I don't like to be rushed, so I was a bit crabby to him (oops, I need to work on that temper.) Anyway, I may have possibly gotten food poisoning, because I was wretching into the wee hours, instead of going to meet up o go clubbing (ick, I don't like that anyway) So maybe that was a blessing in desguise.

I wanted to Japanese food. I when I want something, I get it! tee hee. I went shopping, and conveniently, there is a Benihanas in the mall, so I popped in for some sushi and terryaki chicken and green tea.mmmmmm. My favorite thing in the world is sushi, and it had been a while, so I needed to reload. I later went to a lovely little concert in Baltimore with a large group of kids. There were three bands total, starting at 7pm, and ending at 1am. That is, let's see.., about 6 hours of standing!! Torture!!!! Aargh, but it was worth it somewhat, because we heard the lead singer from Dispatch-Pete Francis. He is very funny (unintentionally) on stage, he just really feels that music. With his eyes closed, just bopping around like he's Bob fucking Marley! His backup band was even stranger.. The keyboardist was wearing what looked like a Dashiki, but he was white as they come, with no shoes and a gree "Eat Mussells" sign that he waved about ever so often! Oddity.. The second singer was Matt Nathanson, and was the funniest human being I have ever seen!! It was pretty much the same as seeing a stand-up and a musician all in one.. So finally we set home and arrived around 2am, and I couldn't even force myself to fall asleep because I was so reved up until 5am, when the sun began to rise and birds were chirping. Ergh.

We went to see Matt Nathanson again. What fun he is! He played at a gig called Jammin Java, which is a coffee shop with a stage in the back, a really cool idea. So we enjoyed a jammin cup of joe while we jammed. What a nice combination!
