Acustic:
Jesper Skaaning began his musical carreer as a guitarist in various experimental punk bands in the early eighties. Inspired by electropop and especially Yellow Magic Orchestra, he formed the band Acustisk Ungdom, which he later took his name from.
In 1994, he formed Future 3 together with Anders Remmer (aka Dub Tractor) and Thomas Knak (aka Opiate).
With their cool minimalism and their intelligent mix of dub and ambient, Future 3 made quite an impact on the electronic scene at that time. After Kruder and Dorfmeister listed Future 3´s debut album as one of their top 5 albums of all time, the trio were catapulted into the collective conciousness of lovers of electronic music.
Later on they were invited to release an album on the renowned Scape label of Stefan Betke (aka Pole), which resulted in the System release.
Since 2000 Jesper has produced two split E.Ps on Thomas Knak´s label Hobby Industries, as well as producing the Danish band Superjeg.
At the moment Jesper, Anders and Thomas are working on a new System album.
Karsten Pflum:
Inspired equally by 80´s synth pop, Detroit techno and Nordic folkmusic, Karsten Pflum started experimenting with old synths and sequencers in the middle of the 90´s.
In the summer of 2000 he got signed to the English label Worm Interface, who released his first 7” and CD album “Tracks”.
After being exposed to audiences around Europe, the sincere and thoughtful ambient quality that signified his earlier work, gradually became harder with more rhythmical edge.
The result of this was the “Dogcatcher EP”, released on the Danish label Tender Productions in 2004.
The EP was airplayed on BBC´s John Peel Show and Breezeblock, and was followed by intensive touring, both solo and in constellation with other artists, e.g. The Europussy band, which consisted of Karsten Pflum, Bjørn Svin, Jonas Olesen and Åsmund Kverneland (Flex).
Karsten Plfum´s concerts evolved and became more humoristic and dancefloor-orientated, and with the release of “Flugten Fra År 2000”, on Jenka Music, he conquered the position as Scandinavia´s uncrowned king of drill´n´bass.
What signifies Karsten Pflum’s work, from “Tracks” up until today, is his playful and anarchistic approach to making music.
Despite his eclectic way of composing, his sound is always easy to recognize because of the ever present melancholy and warm melodic atmosphere.
In the fall of 2005, Karsten Pflum began studying electronic music at the Danish music academy, and he is currently working on his third album “Idhax”, due to be released on Rump in the fall of 2006.
Limewax:
Limewax doesn't like to be thought of as a child prodigy, but he is, despite his protests, the young Einstein of the Anger / Tech Freak posse. At only 17, he is already producing tracks on par with the big guns, and holding his own in the sickness department! Born in 1988 (!) he was weaned on hardcore vodka and babushkaπs in Russia and the Ukraine until the tender age of 11, where he then moved to the smokerπs paradise that is Holland. A classically trained pianist, he began his decent into the griminess of drum and bass through listening to radio shows and breakbeat and ambient. Soon after his 11th birthday, he received some old equipment and began to mess about with atmospherics, and wrote a few symphonies (yes, symphonies - we're talking a young Mozart here!) and soon moved from old beaten up Roland's to getting his head around reason at age 15. From 15 to now has been all hard work, perspiration and ahelluva lot of inspiration! Limewax's tunes are reminiscent of the dark sci fi landscapes of Technical Itch, the driving dark funk force of Dylan, like a hybrid love child - he is easily one of the most exciting artists to emerge from Europe this year, and without a doubt will remain so for the years ahead! With the soon to be released E.P. on Tech Itch Recordings, as well as tracks such as, The Lawra, Eye's of Evil (a personal fave with the gabba-esque, no-holds-barred attack in the middle of the tune), as well as the ≥Slave to Life≤ and ≥Life of Sin≤ remixes, not to mention all the collaborations with partner in slime SPL (!!)...Limewax may be young in age, but will rock the dance floor like a long established pro!! Mark my words, it is only the beginning...

Wood Ammo:
Wood Ammo is a mysterious viking who lives somewhere in the great nordic wastes of Denmark. When he isn't invading the north of England and looting our monasteries or fighting gigantic mythical beasts, Wood Ammo uses his skill and tenacity to carve out beautiful music.... literally.
Technology is scarce in the northern wilderness, so all of his music is written upon small pieces of wood which he chops himself with his mighty axe of choppidge. When the wood is swung around his head fast enough, incredible jungle sounds come spewing mysteriously from all around. Bears fall startled from trees, evil spirits cower in their caves. It is said that some men even go mad...
Anyway, all of that aside Wood Ammo makes really ace toxic jungle, akin to the likes of Rotator but with his own individual style. Sometimes he also goes all soft and makes charming electronica, akin to AFX circa the Richard D James Album.
