Welcome to the Essential Harmony web site. This web site showcases the music of Michele Jeffrey and John Spreier.

In October of 1998 John formed a duo with Michele called Essential Harmony. Michelle sang the lead vocals & John sang the essential harmony, played guitar, and played mandolin. The duo continued until a lack of venues made it non-essential at the end of the summer of 1999.

Closer to Fine was written by Emily Saliers. Louise was written by Paul Siebel. Truly, Madly, Deeply was written by Daniel Jones and Darren Hayes. Sunny Came Home was written by Shawn Colvin. John Spreier produced and recorded the songs using a Tascam 244.
