Battle of Solitude The valiant knights hefted saber and shield For two hundred enemies they would prevail Solemnly rising over the battlefield The Evening Star shone strength through their mail Two masses the armies so solemnly were Not the slightest of whispers nor clink of a shield Sharp silence broke off with the last ray of sunshine Hence they charged, kingly led, with a shimmer of steel Clashing cold weapons to ward off each other The blood and the sweat washed away by the rain Innocence gone with the dropping of axes The prince of that land screamed his last and was slain Two had been left amongst legends and heroes And new vows of vengeance they had for their kings The fires of dawn were rekindling and heating As this last rage of war granted enemies wings So tired were the knights and so heavily breathing When one of their swords struck a weak, battered helm One knight did fall and the other bent crying For he was the last warrior left in the realm -Rowan Scarlet
