Darkside productions is a small Ottawa based recording studio run by myself, Mike Raymond. I started buying recording equipment around 2000-2001 and started experimenting with recording different sounds and songs (mostly my own music), The studio has mainly been for my own use but too many people want recordings done for cheap and not many studios with the kind of gear I use charges less than 50$ an hour. Hence the launch of dakside productions to the outside world. My main focus is to record local bands who can't afford to pay 3000$ on a 5 song CD and need a cheaper alternative that still meets a certain level of sound quality, For general studio time wich includes recording, mixing, very basic mastering(i'm not claiming to be any type of mastering engineer, mastering is very speciialized no matter what your friends with cracked mastering software says), recording live drum tracks for clients who bring sequenced drums to replicate, I also do format transfers, audio cleaning, beginner to intermediate drum lessons for a cheaper studio rate.
