"Good Ole Days" was one of my first songs recorded in my first apartment. This must have been around 86'. I've always been into folk, and i remember using an alternate tuning with four strings on my acoustic. I only had four strings at the time, and wanted to find a way to play, come up with something, and experiment with an alternate tuning. It's a simple song about remembering the good times as a kid. |
it's been so long since i've been here, staring out the back door, remembering those times my life has changed in many ways, why can't it be that simple those were the good ole days when your conscious hits you hard, you know that you can't fight it you're on the open road it's turning i'm tired of playing foolish games, i'm tired of all this waiting it's time to make a change, let's get it back now the days are long when we hold back from what we need a long time ago i said i'd keep on, or die trying the world you dreamed, you tried to make i surely must be learning, seeing my mistakes my life has changed in many ways, why can't it be that simple those were the good ole days |
