Cate Blanchett Wants Your Flesh is a totally new avante-garde rock band formed by two girls with a passion for playing music dressed up in crazy Mongoose costumes.

The idea for the band came after seeing the film Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring when Mallary Willatt commented about how acclaimed Australian actress Cate Blanchett often looks like she wants to devour people's flesh. We do not intend this band as a way to criticise Mrs. Blanchett. We are actually big fans of her work and think that she's a fine actress. It just so happens that most of the time she looks quite carnivorous.
