BIOGRAPHY
I, Cole Johnson, will now embark upon the tale that is myself. I am from Robbinsdale, Minnesota and this is my junior year in Eau Claire. I'm a political science major and an avid Twins fan. The last two summers I have worked on Habitat for Humanity houses in the Twin cities. After originally attending the University of Minnesota, I decided I wanted to get to go to a school that is more in tune with their students. By experiencing a larger university first hand, I have many ideas about how to make Eau Claire even better. After a really fun year in Sutherland, I decided to move off campus, and I am now living on the 600 block of Chippewa. I have worked hard for my 3.75 GPA and the academic scholarships that I have received. My goal is to be the liaison for the students. I will work with you, the student, to make sure we get it right here at the university. If you vote for me I will work even harder to make our campus better for everyone.

ISSUES
These are the key issues to students and where I stand on them.
BRIDGE
I am an advocate of covering the walking bridge across the Chippewa River. In the interest of student health and well-being during the winter months, I feel we should allocate state and federal funds to the design and construction of a covering for the bridge. With 10,000 students attending the university and roughly 6,000 of them living off-campus, the "bridge" is a heavily traveled part of campus. In addition to a safer, more comfortable method of accessing the two academic buildings across the river, students would also have a safer, more comfortable path to travel to visit all of Water Street's shops, grocery stores, and restaurants. It is in the student's best interest to have a covered walking bridge on campus.
PARKING
I support the reform of our campus parking system that would rely solely on fundraising that doesn’t tap student funds such as a Wisconsin Legislative grant. We as students already face tuition increases that threaten our ability to receive a top notch education; parking expenses should not keep anyone from receiving a great education. I will ensure that any change in the parking system is beneficial for the majority.

SODEXO
I will personally tear up Sodexho's contract while walking them off our fine university and out of our lives. We as students and staff should not have to eat their gruel. I will then call upon vendors to serve food to us students and staff so that we may all be involved in the decision-making process. A university dining system that is chosen by its consumers will best serve everyone.[TOP]
