Taxes
The
secured property tax bill from the City and County of San Francisco is
mailed once a year, on or before November 1. The bill will contain
two payment stubs, one for each installment. The first installment
is due on December 10, and the second is due by April 10. Club
owners are responsible for paying the property taxes for their ownership
share(s) before the due dates. State law does not allow the Treasurer or
tax collector to excuse late payment penalties. If you do not
receive your annual tax bill, you should request one by contacting the
Office of the Treasurer & Tax Collector at (415) 554-4400 or by
sending an email
to the tax collector. It is your responsibility to obtain your annual
tax bill. Failure to receive a bill does not provide a basis for
excusing penalties for late payment. Remember, it
is your responsibility to notify the Tax Collector of any change of
address.
If
there are ANY unpaid taxes as of 5 p.m. on the last business day
of June, then the property becomes tax defaulted. Once the property has
become tax defaulted.
You
may pay, print, or order your property tax bill online at the San
Francisco Treasurer and Tax Collector Web site.
