Fall is here...

So what is new? well...
I am back in School! Yeah, I've been sittin' here for the past 7 years - just 9 credits short of graduating with my degree (silly boy -huh?). Anyway - I am in a 1st year bio course this semester and, well, I HATE it. It's quite a change being a student again, even if it is only part time. I will be glad in May when I am done - and I get this $40'000 dollar monkey off my back.

Musically, I've been slowed by the afore-mentioned, as well as a few other changes in life. I've made some recent progress on two more songs, and I've come up with a few new ones that may go towards the album project. I am still trying to keep to my Oct 31st finish date - so keep posted.

Hello all my friends...

I am so caught up with my music as of late. I recently started up a "pure volume" web site. For those of you NOT in the KNO, Pure Volume is an INDIE band/artist's wet dream. Just go to www.purevolume.com. If you do a search for "ME" (bryant stora), you should be able to find my website there - and listen to my music. In the future, ALL my NEW music will be available there - as I don't have to worry about bandwidth.

My favorite time of year approaches...

Autumn is coming; I know the mere mention of it in August is an offence to some, but it cometh nonetheless. Starting in September, my daughter will be starting school - 3 half days a week. Although I will miss her, these few precious hours pretty much mean that I can put my recording into 3rd gear. With most of my songs roughly mixed-out, I now just need to work on a few solos, re-recording and vocals. In the meantime, I've added a new track to the "music" page; a song that is pretty much complete for the new album. It is a fitting song for the season approaching. :)

new guitar (see above, read below...)

Well now, the recording has stalled a bit; i was gone for a week's vacation up in sundridge. I was smart enuf to take my guit with me tho - and sat out on the beach beside the campfire, pluckin' away on some songs.
Prior to leaving, a got some rough vocals laid on a song called 'glum' that is nearing completion. I am just working out some kinks in the 'vocal track' department.
Also, after over 10 years, I once again own an electric guitar. Well actually, I still owe a buddie money for it, but that is coming next week. Stay tuned...

Just a quick "elbow" plug.

As some know, I was part of a rather cool band with my palz James and Jeff back in the day. Anyway, we are pseudo-reuniting next Wednesday, July 18th at the Albion in Gravenhurst. We haven't played together since 1998, and we haven't done a gig since opening for "Bloke" for New years '96. It should be a rather fun time, and maybe we'll see some of you there.

...the ball is still rolling.

Tracks are being done at a rather slow pace - but I am having a tonne of pleasure getting them down. Each tiny step spawns new motivation; new ideas. I have now set a timeline, and should be done my lastest project - seven to nine songs - sometime this fall.

At this point, I wanna say a big THANX to Jeff and Patric; without your "borrowed gear" - none of what I am working on would be getting finished.

I also wanna send a shout out to James and the guys up in Gravenhurst. Lately, I've been getting up there to the "open jams" on Wednesday Nights. It's a helluva good time getting out the harps and hackin' away. Maybe this will be a good place to try some of the new material out live.

Anyway, thanks for stopping by and checking out my site.
