Bravo Maxi would like to wish everyone a happy New Year. We hope it will be a productive year for you and others. We are hoping it will be a productive one for us as well. We have already had a great start to the new year by playing with You are the Drum and Give up the Ghost. It was great to play again. That was our first show since April of 2002. We will be playing again at 929 cafe with Pivot on Jan 14th (tues.) We will also start recording our next release within the month. Check back for updates on that. thanks -BM

Here is a review of the "Between heaven and Hell" Demo from Noreaster Online Zine
Bravo Maxi -- Heaven and Hell EP

I’ll be honest, at first listen I didn’t really know what to make of this release, but it would be silly not to give it a fair chance; so that’s what I did. With each listen, I got a better understanding of what Bravo Maxi’s sound is approaching. While it’s not the record I’d turn on to rock out to, it’s also not music to fall asleep by. Their song “BluePrints” is one of the bright spots. It starts out slow and quiet with vocals that are more spoken than they are sung. The song proceeds to pick up and leads into its midsection, which is heavy on the distorted guitar. This portion really carries the song. And while I would have liked to hear more of the same throughout the record, as well as stronger vocals, I still think Bravo Maxi has a good thing going here. Lacking in creativity and budding talent Bravo Maxi is not, but as with any artist, there’s always room to grow. (self-released) --JA
