The Digglers
Rock and Roll - Part Deux!
Magnum Pop/Red Star Distro

I was turned onto these guys a little while back when I saw 'em in Philly opening for the Candy Snatchers, and I picked up their first record C'mon Rock and Roll with The Digglers, and ever since I wrote the review for that EP, I've been waiting for them to get something else out. Here we are a little while later, and they give me ANOTHER FRIGGIN' EP! I HATE THAT! 6 more steller songs fellas, but ONLY SIX!! If this is your first time checking out this zine then you don't know how much I hate EPs and split CDs. Putting out only a few songs is just a damn tease, especially if it's a rockin' band. And that's just what we have here, AGAIN!

Alright so you got the negative there, the rest is all positive. I praised their first EP for the kickass doowap vocals mixed with the fast-paced R'N'R sound, putting together something like the Queers meets the Ramones meets Buddy Holly. These 6 songs are even better than the 6 on their first EP. You'll find yourself singing along to these in no time at all. And actually, this was getting quite a bit of airplay on Betty Rebel's Underground Playground last I checked, so who knows, maybe there'll be some justice in the world, and a good hard-rockin' band who deserves it might just get somewhere over all the fakers in this crazy bizness.

PS, if you haven't seen this band live, you must get yer lazy ass off the couch and check them out. On record, they're much more mellow than they are on the stage. Lots of beer, stagedives, singer getting half naked, and just general chaos make for a good time, and the ladies love 'em. PPS, I woulda subtracted some points for only 6 songs again, but, Bettie Page on the cover in bondage gear gives them points back to ya!Keep the good stuff cummin boys!!
