Black Christmas

I first saw the original "Black Christmas" in December 2004 - thirty years after it was originally released. I've been a horror fan all my life (I hailed "The Texas Chain Saw Massacre" and "Halloween" before I saw Black Christmas), and I hadn't heard about this movie until someone recommended it to me. So, I found the old Warner VHS at a local video store during the week before Christmas, and I watched it - and wow. I was really amazed with it. It was an amazing movie - it was suspenseful and tense, shocking, disturbing, and ultimately unsettling. Not very many horror movies can do that to me. I was really surprised at how great this movie was.

So after enjoying the film as much as I did, I immediately went online and purchased the two DVD releases that were available, and I slowly began to love this movie more and more - it seems like the more I watch it, the better it gets, and the more I love it. So, in November 2006, I finally decided to put my HTML skills to use and I created a rather small website for my favorite horror movie of all time. Over time the site has grown a little, but I don't want plan on making it too complicated or extensive. Before I created this site, I was aware of another excellent Black Christmas site that had already been on the web for quite a few years now, http://www.itsmebilly.com, which is a much more advanced (and extensive) site than mine, and I was almost convinced not to make one. But hey, I decided to go with it and create something of my own, and I'm glad that I did.

So, the result is a small Black Christmas site from a fan's point of view. Not only is it an excellent movie, but it's probably one of the most groundbreaking films from the genre. So I hope you enjoy browsing around my website, and that you learn a little more about Black Christmas. I will continue to update this site throughout time, and don't plan on stopping anytime soon.

Sincerely, Scott (Webmaster)
