Wrath of Quickiemart Rage
Hey Hey
so yeah, i'm raj... i'm a freshman at emory, yet another face in the horde of indian pre-meds here... this site is more of an expriment-by-impulse than anything else (yeah, scientist until the end, right?)... something i threw together because all of my friends speak html as their second language, and i figured i should get started...so yeah, whatever... enjoy... and tell me what u think: bigrajku@yahoo.com... take it easy
Deep Thoughts / Complaints/ General Rambling
still under construction...
Current Musical Obsession:
"Radio" by Alkaline Trio; the perfect song for the times
The Rage's Recommendations
MUSIC
Music has got to be my one greatest passion... i'll listen to anything (though i hesitate a bit with country)...i think u'll find that my likes are quite eclectic...
- Pedro the Lion: yeah, this guy considers himself to be contemporary christian, but it's not like he's tryin to convert anybody, so i have no problem with it. it's kind of mellow, but just listen to "Bad Diary Days"... it's amazing
Songs to Listen to:
Bad Diary Days
Of Monarchs and their Prostiute Wives
Rapture
... basically all of the album "it's hard to find a friend"
- Alkaline Trio: Think Blink 182... now make them really, really bitter and sadistic... and ya got alk3! an awesome band, with some kind of disturbing songs, but worth the time none the less
Songs to Listen to:
Radio
Stupid Kid
Fuck You Aurora
- Kingston Minds: this is a local band in chicago, which i've just been introduced to by a guy in my dorm... something i'm just starting to explore, but i'm liking what i'm hearing so far...
Songs to Listen to:
Everytime
- Penny and the Loafers: ska band introduced to me by that same jap kid... not too bad...
Songs to Listen to:
Crystal Memories
Pleasure Dome
(more to be added later on)
MOVIES:
Audition:
A dubbed Japanese movie about a man trying to remarry... it sounds boring now, but damn... just watch, and you'll see... my japanese friend calls it art, but i call it sadistic insanity! It could very well be the cure for yellow fever...
The Ring (Jap version):
Another dubbed movie... according to my "promiscuous japanese friend," this movie is actually supposed to be a horror... oh, and a word of advice... the american version sucks in comparison... don't waste ur time with it... u have to accept a bit more w/ the japanese version, but it is darker, the actors are ASIAN :-), and basically, it's got everything the american version lacks.
The Life of David Gayle:
one word: wow... it's been a while since i've seen a movie this good... so it's about this philosophy professor who is convicted of rape and murder, and a reporter's race to save him from execution... as kev would say, "it f**ks u up"
Contact
holy shizzzznit... i would do anything to be the one in that machine... to be taken to another galaxy or even just a planet would be unsane... and for anybody out there that doesn't believe in the existence of intelligent life out there, i have a small message for ya : f**k off... there are millions of suns in this galaxy alone... then there are millions upon millions of galaxies farther off... and even if a small portion have planets, that would mean there are more planets out there than there are grains of sand on our earth... and anyone who thinks that with all those possibilities there can not be life is just plain ignorant...
The Peeps
- Kyogo: the 'promiscuous' jap kid from chi-town... the guy i usually train, exchange music, and hang out with
- Chris: The roommate from cali.. this guy is a computer and car GOD... if ya have a problem, he can fix it... a bit on the quiet side, but an awesome guy anywho.
- Andrew : the hick from tennessee... one of those few english majors in the sea of emory pre-meds
- Kevin: the 'angry asian'... perhaps the most honest guy you will ever find, and a riot always...
- Nan: my second little sister... we met at GS (the 4 week one) and a few games of hearts and doa3 later, i adopted her into the family
- Rohit: the fellow jigga from the homeland (where the cows eat hay, and we ride autorikshaws everyday... damn u for sending me that song), and a fellow member of the back row in orgo
