Poem 14

Youth…. My youth, I never have impugned,
and to all I do I’m now again atune,
as if once upon a big blue moon
all the ice-clad trees began to bloom

As I live, with me my love, lives on!
For my tenderest, for you, my one and only,
from the dictionary I have drawn
its entire affectionate vocabulary.
