The Arun Gandhi Peace & Non-Violence Music Awards Campaign
In 1996, shortly after the first DDMI conference in Long Beach, I was invited to visit with a group of performing musicians and their managers in LA. This group had extensive credentials in the new thought arena, yet were not satisfied with that categorization of their work. Hence, the "Heartbeat" award was born in that meeting. Fast forward to US Thanksgiving day, in a conversation with Arun Gandhi, founder and former director of the Peace & Non-Violence Institute in Memphis, TN. In a dialogue that day, the Arun Gandhi Peace & Non-Violence Award(called 'The Heartbeat) was agreed upon. And now, on 4/15/2005, the initial release of that collection will be brought forward. Be part of that launch, as the essences of Kauaiian flavored music are distributed through the power of the Internet.
