Ms Singh will be attending the University of Manchester and taking a course in development finance which leads to an MSC Degree. The programme is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive knowledge of the main concepts and analytical skills on development finance, financial management and accounting in developing and emerging market economies and to provide a critical understanding of contemporary issues related to development finance at the macro, sectoral and enterprise levels. Ms Alleyne will be undertaking an international journalism programme at the City University in London. The programme is designed to provide those with some prior experience of journalism outside the UK with an introduction to journalism in the UK and an opportunity to develop her skills in and understanding of journalism in an international context.
During the year, students produce their own newspapers, magazines, radio programmes and websites, and from the beginning they report on 'live' events and issues. Each student undertakes at least one work placement (internship). The programme leads to an MSC Degree. |
