Mobius Strip

The stars, they shone with all their might
And in my heart they lit
The path which I dispised to take
You see, my heart's consumed by fright.

I must take heed and travel through
And pray that I might find
A brighter and a truer glow
And hope that I discover you.

Within my heart are treasures told
Of unsurpassing wealth
You'll show me how they can be seen 
And what secrets they will unfold.

Just out of reach there lies my fate
And I must take that leap
Yet I still fear the sunless land
With all its emptiness and hate.

I shall envelope all my fears
To take that single step
And then begin my search for truth
And you will wipe away my tears.

So here I am to take step one
My heart's beating so fast
I now have swallowed all my fear
But this journey has just begun.
