Subdude Records is a subsidiary of Alternative Industries, which was formed to help make a way for people to be heard in their various artistic endeavors, without having to sell out to the corrupt corporate market.

This label is just a way to help get good music out there into the world in an independent way. We believe that art, in whatever form, is meant to be shared with others who can appreciate it. So many people are desirous to get their work out into the world, but unless you have an agent, lawyer, or manager, the major corporate factory won’t even touch you, unless they feel that you are a guaranteed success, but even then, their going to milk an artist for everything they are worth. Even then an artist is never guaranteed any money, unless they are able to pay back the conglomerate, or corporation that took a chance on them to begin with. Well, this is a departure from all of that. We are setting a new standard. We are not going to punish people for downloading media (music, eBooks, eMagazines, etc.), but instead we are going to encourage it and then if people want to purchase it, they can. It is time to reinvent the system, and it is going to start here.

We are interested in all kinds of artistic work, whether it is music, literature, drawings, photography, whatever, if you would like to get it out, just let us know! We make all of the items on our website open to the general public free of charge. If you would like to purchase an artists work, then you can send us an email and we will fill your order as soon as possible. We will make all works available for download to your computer. If you would like to send in music for download, let us know. We will make album art, as well as music tracks available for download if you have it available.

Every two weeks we will be featuring either a new artist or a new work on the site, so be sure to send some biographical information to us when you send in your works. If you would like to make your work available for purchase, then be sure to let us know.

Artist of the week

Subdude Records publishes all of the music that it promotes through Lowbudget Music, which is an in-house publishing company.

Subdude Records is an Independent Record label that is based out of…well, it is an internet label, so I guess it is based out of the internet! It is also the home of 16 Pounds of Pet, PepperJelly and Angry Combat Banana. It could be the home of your band too!
