Hey babe, take a walk on the wild side. "Talk A Walk On The Wild Side" The Velvet Underground The Way It Is. Under Control. 12:51. The Modern Age. Hard To Explain. New York City Cops. What Ever Happend? Between Love & Hate. Reptilia. Automatic Stop. The End Has No End. Soma. I Can't Win. Take It Or Leave It. Were the songs they played lastnight. I think. I may be missing some or I may be saying some that they didnt play, I dont remember cause I was too busy jumping and singing and having the best day of my life. But, they did play a song that's not on any of their records called "Clamp Down", it was good, the original song was from The Clash. We got in line a little before 6 and waited till they opened the door at 7. We were in the third row and waited about 30 to 45 minutes for The Sounds to come on. They did, and it was fun. Nobody danced, it pissed me off. Everyone just stood there and banged their head. I wanted to dance, but I wasnt gonna do it till someone else started. I dont know a lot of their songs but they played all the ones I know which are: Fire. Seven Days A Week. and Living In America. The singer, Maja, was awesome. And Tabitha now has a crush on the piano guy and I think the guitarist is hawt. Speaking of hot guys, while we were in line, to keep us amused, Tabitha and I counted every hot guy we saw, we got up to about 20 and lets just add 30 more to make 50 for all of the guys we didnt see. Back to The Sounds, Maja has this beautiful deep voice when she just talks and not sings. And Tabitha claims she had no underwear on, (she had a short black skirt and black top and black shoes and semi-ripped stockings) I didnt really look, I'm not gay like Tabitha. Heh. She would stand up on the drums and spit into crowd a few times. I have a few pictures of that. And then in the end they set up these two electric drums for the keyboarder and the guitarist and Maja went backstage while the bass and drums continued and they played drums on that for about a minute and it was kool! The keyboarder's drum stopped for a while, I did notice that though, thats ok, those things happen. And that was The Sounds. And we waited some more while they took their stuff apart, it was about 35 minutes I think. Heh while we were waiting, these two chinese girls just push between me and Tabitha and these other girls to get ahead and huh uh we wasnt letting that happen. First the three other girls started bitching at them to go back to where they were, we were here first. Then Tabitha stepped in, heh, she started cusing at them like "Get the fuck back!" and then I told the girls that she'll bust a cap in their ass, lol. And eventually, after much bitching the left. I also saw Matt (which I at first thought it was Fab coz they look alike...infact a lot of people thought it was Fab...but it wasnt) and Ryan the Manager, it was cool. And...it happend...they came out. And, hehe, I screamed like a crazied Nysnc fan. Holy shit Julian was looking so hot. And it was just amazing and within one minute people started jumping and so I started jumping, and singing along, and got sweatier then I have ever been in my life. We all feel that beat in your chest when music gets to a certain point in a volume and we will all try to figure out if that beat is our hearts or the music, or both. And I did that, while trying to figure out if I pissed myself of not. And I stood there for a few seconds, my thoughts were still in awe. This was the band that I have cried over, this is the band! And I stood there, staring at Julian because he can write such amazing words, not because of his looks, because of his mind. And everything was just great, I still dont believe I lived and saw them. Well...back to the sad reality, things started getting out of hand. People started moshing but I stayed away from that because it was a bunch of drunk guys. And I bet your thinking "You can mosh to The Strokes?" Oh yes, its quiet possible. You hear them on the album and you might be like, "You cant mosh to this!" and then you hear them live and its like everything is 5 times better, more rock and energy. A lot of show are like that though. Hear their music and listen to what they say. Then go to the shows and see a big difference. I loved it. It started to get to the point where I couldnt even jump I was so squished, and thats when I started to get mad. All this squishing didnt happen till the ending songs. Ok, stop complaining now. Fuck, I'm in a weird mood, I have been all day. Maybe because I have to breathe out of my mouth all day because my nose is so stuffed. All in all, it was the best day of my life. I have two rolls of film full, so give me some time to get them developed because we are short of cash. The Strokes will be playing in Pittsburg on May 12th at The Rock, tickets go on sale this Saturday. I really want to go to that, but BRMC is gonna be in Pitt. on April 1st and tickets are only $18.75, I am gonna try and go to both. Money is a big problem right now. Ok I gotta go. Oh yeah, one more thing. Remember me talking about Filter Magazine with LOU REED! and The Strokes on the cover? Well I got it! Holy shitballs the article is amazing. P.S. Tabitha got hit on by a girl! New layout coming soon...
