Video Recording Policy Rules
1. You must possess a current library card with NO outstanding overdue charges or books. Six to thirteen year olds may check out G rated films. A permission slip must be on file. Thirteen to eighteen year old students must have a parent's permission slip on file as to what rated movies they may check out. This permission slip must be signed by a parent in the presence of a library staff member.
2. Video recordings are to be used for home viewing only.
3. Only two videos per person may be checked out daily. There is a limit of eight per household.
4. New videos can be checked out for one day and are due back at the library by 4:00 PM, except on Monday at 5:30. Videos checked out on Friday are due back by 5:30 PM on Monday. Videos are considered new for 30 days from their addition to the collection.
5. All other videos are due back by 4:00 PM two days after they are checked out. If checked out on a Friday, the video is due back by 4:00 PM on Tuesday.
6. Videos must be rewound before they are returned to the front desk. If not, $1.00 per video will be charged.
7. Videos not returned by 4:00 PM Tuesday - Saturday or not returned by 5:30 Pm on Monday will be charged a fine of $1.00 per video, per day. The maximum charge is $10.00 per video.
8. Do not return videos in the outside book drop. A $5.00 fee is charged per video. Videos should not be placed in the outside video return when the library is open.
9. Borrowers assume responsibility for damages to or loss, at current replacement charges.
10. By having these rules explained to you by library personnel, you will agree to adhere to the above regulations.
