"The DAY of the LORD." What EXACTLY does this phrase mean? There are numerous opinions on the subject. One who thoroughly and correctly reads the scriptures will come to understand, eventually, that the phrase is ACTUALLY a reference to the Day of the LORD'S REIGN on EARTH, which will be a DAY that lasts forever! The Scriptures and the New Testament both refer to the final days in more than a few ways. For example, this period is called, "the day of the Master" (or Lord as it was translated), it is also called "the LAST day," AND "the last DAYS," and believe it or not "the day of REST." These same titles were used for the "Sabbath Day," of Yahweh in the ten commandments, and the OTHER Sabbaths instituted by Moses. This is NOT a coincidence! SABBATH IS ESTABLISHED
Is Israel dead? Have they vanished from the earth or did Yahweh destroy them completely? The answer to that scripturally is a resounding NO! Israel hasn't been "done away with." SHE is ALIVE AND WELL! Yahweh is NOT finished with HIS PEOPLE, who are called Israel. Having said that, notice verse 13 of Exodus 31 clearly states that the SABBATHS (PLURAL) are a SIGN between Yahweh and HIS PEOPLE THROUGHOUT THEIR GENERATIONS! Therefore, the SABBATHS are STILL IN EFFECT as long as there are GENERATIONS of Yahweh's people; whether they be called, Israel, Jews or True Believers. When talking about "the Sabbath," many just shrug it off saying, "yeah well, we are NO LONGER UNDER THE LAW." The Sabbaths mean NOTHING to some, so consequently they MISS OUT on TRUTH, and REVELATION (and MORE!). The Sabbaths are a SIGN! The particular MEANING of this word SIGN is "to reveal the truth." An irrefutable, NEVER CHANGING, TRUTH between Yahweh and HIS PEOPLE! To DISMISS the Sabbaths, is to MISS OUT ON THE TRUTH that was established between Yahweh and ancient Israel! Those who are NOT INTERESTED in the Sabbath day are NOT INTERESTED in the TRUTH!
"Perpetual" means IT NEVER ENDS! Upon reading these verses it's IMPOSSIBLE to come away with the idea that the Sabbath Day could EVER END! Furthermore, it says in verse 17 that it is the SEVENTH day! So much for the notion that the Sabbath could be CHANGED TO SUNDAY (which is actually the FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK). The Sabbath is a PERMANENT SIGN between Yahweh and his people! The LAW of YAHWEH cannot be rescinded or changed by ANYONE but the LAW GIVER! In this case, Yahweh HIMSELF instituted the statute, ONLY HE can revoke it! Wherein he says it is FOR EVER that pretty much means that it IS forever and that it WILL NOT be REVOKED! Yahweh is a unmovable rock, and He does not arbitrarily change His Laws. What was good at creation is still good, and what was evil is still evil; if Yahweh changed His laws, then the lines between good and evil would be blurred, causing confusion. Yahweh is NOT the author of confusion (Satan is). If He changed his laws at will, Yahweh would not be a stable Rock, and we could not know the difference between good and evil. Chaos would reign, but then isn't chaos Satan's trademark? Yahweh WROTE THE SABBATH ON TABLETS OF STONE WITH HIS OWN FINGER, placing the command in the TEN COMMANDMENTS, a part of his MORAL LAW, right along with:
Notice I have listed them without the SABBATH DAY so that we could see how WRONG IT IS TO IGNORE THE SABBATH DAY COMMAND! If we were to IGNORE the seventh day sabbath we end up with the NINE commandments, by eliminating the FOURTH completely! How could we justify such a thing? Yet, many religions actually DON'T TEACH following the TEN COMMANDMENTS EITHER! Most believe GRACE makes them ABOVE THE LAW! NO WONDER it's next to impossible to get someone to listen to reason when it comes to the SABBATH REVELATION! Until they LET GO OF THIS RIDICULOUS NOTION that the LAW OF GOD is now made of NONE EFFECT, they can't receive ANYTHING spiritual. They are stumbling in the dark, blind and naked! SABBATH IS KEPT BY MESSIAH It would be HARD to quote ALL of the scriptures that show the Sabbath day being kept and honored by Israel! There is SO MUCH about the Sabbath in the Tanakh (Old Testament some like to call it) that it would be a MONUMENTAL task to quote them all! The Sabbath is the CENTER of the Hebrew FAITH, and as you will soon see, the Apostles of Yahshua Messiah kept the Sabbath as well! First, however, we must set to REST the argument that Yahshua HIMSELF broke the Sabbath and taught us to do likewise! Here are the verses often quoted to defend this misguided teaching:
The FIRST question we must answer is, were the Pharisees correct in their interpretation of Torah Law when they condemned the disciples for eating corn on the Sabbath? To answer this it would take MORE expertise on the subject than we possess but thankfully, we don't HAVE to answer it. Yahshua HIMSELF answered it. The answer is NO, they were NOT correct. Who is Yahshua to interpret law and override the priests? He is MESSIAH, the SON OF YAHWEH! HIS AUTHORITY alone indicates that he has perfect Spiritual understanding! The Pharisees were applying a RIGID LEGALISTIC VIEW of Sabbath, DEVOID OF ALL LOVE AND MERCY, and lacking COMPLETELY in common sense. They were Self-righteous bureaucrats and they LOVED to PICK PICK PICK at the "letter of the law", and forget all about the SPIRIT OF THE LAW which is LOVE! Yahshua allowed his disciples to pick corn and eat on this particular Sabbath to MAKE A POINT, He did NOT, and I repeat, DID NOT do it to "OBLITERATE THE KEEPING OF SABBATH!" Yahshua did "Yahweh's work" on the Sabbath (as a High Priest), he did NOT do HIS OWN, furthermore, the disciples, when picking and eating the corn were doing "Yahweh's work" as well. The Pharisees were so RIGID in their interpretation of Sabbath they had concluded it is unlawful to do ANYTHING on the Sabbath (including the Lord's work). Yahshua, from the very start set out to PROVE to the Pharisees that it is LAWFUL to DO GOOD on the Sabbath. The Pharisees were corrupt, judging Yahshua even for HEALING ON THE SABBATH. Yahshua KEPT THE SABBATH IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH, he did not DISCARD the SABBATH! Where did Yahshua go, after this event? He went STRAIGHT TO THE SYNAGOGUE!
Yahshua KEPT the Sabbath day, just not according to the Pharisees' LOVELESS, RIGID, and LEGALISTIC terms! Those who try to make a case that the Sabbath day is DONE AWAY with like to quote these verses and, in doing so are actually taking up the side of the LEGALISTIC and MORALLY BANKRUPT Pharisees, agreeing with their RIGID LEGALISTIC interpretation of Torah. You have to take the Pharisees SIDE to conclude that Yahshua BROKE THE SABBATH, and you have to CONCLUDE that Yahshua BROKE THE SABBATH in order to come away with a teaching that Yahshua DID AWAY WITH THE SABBATH! It is IRONIC they take the Pharisees' side here, because there's NO WAY those same Pharisees would have agreed with the CHANGING OF THE SABBATH to the FIRST day of the week (and the renaming it "The Lord's Day,") nor would they have approved of the way Sunday Sabbath keepers profane their OWN Sabbath! Yet, those who defend the Sunday Sabbath (or BLACK SABBATH as it is called) want to give credence to the Pharisees' interpretation of Torah, and conclude that Yahshua didn't HONOR THE SABBATH! THEN THEY WANT TO CALL TRUE SABBATH KEEPERS "LEGALISTS" for KEEPING the SABBATH which YAHWEH HIMSELF ordained and sanctified! Amazing! They are TRULY MASTERS at the art of TWISTING LAW, they get that from their FATHER, the DEVIL! Yahshua regarded the Sabbath as Holy, of this there can be no question. When he taught the disciples concerning the "DAY" of judgement, and His "return" in Matthew 24, he mentions the Sabbath!
Yahshua here mentions the Sabbath for a specific REASON, it is a HOLY DAY! He's telling them that it will be hard to "flee to the mountains" on the Sabbath! If Yahshua DIDN'T CARE about the Sabbath, and intended to DO AWAY WITH IT, he would NOT have made this statement. That is COMMON SENSE!
The point here being made is that Yahshua regarded the Sabbath! There are numerous accounts of Yahshua keeping the Sabbath day. I won't quote them all here because of space. Look them up if you like.
THE DISCIPLES KEPT THE SABBATH After Messiah was crucified we find an account in Matthew. Mary Magdalene and Yahshua's mother, Mary, decided to go to the grave of Yahshua, on sunday MORNING. Why? Were they just plumb tuckered out from all the excitement of the crucifixion? No, they WAITED until both the Sabbath day AND darkness had ENDED ! (For a closer examination of the subject of the resurrection, and whether Messiah rose on Sunday to "keep the Sabbath" in death see the article "The Truth About Sabbath" in the table of contents page).
ACTS 2: 12-14 "12
Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is
from Jerusalem a sabbath day's journey. 13 and when they were come
in, the went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James,
and John, and Andrew, Philip, and thomas, Bartholomew, and Mattew,
James the son of Alphaeus, and simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of
James. 14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and
supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Yahshua, and with his
brethren." ACTS 13:14 "14 but when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and sat down." ACTS 16:13 "13 And on the Sabbath we went out of the city by a river side, where prayer was wont to be made; and we sat down and spoke to the women which resorted there." ACTS 17: 1- 2 "1 Now when they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where was a synagogue of the Jews: 2 And Paul, as his manner was, went in to them, and three Sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures," COLOSSIANS 2:16-17 "16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, in drink, or in respect of an Holy Day, or of the new moon, or of the Sabbath" 17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ." MANY, and in fact MOST, Christians use those verses in Collosians to say that they will not be JUDGED if they IGNORE the SABBATH! This is CLEARLY not what it is saying. IN FACT it is saying clearly that you SHOULD keep the Sabbath! History indicates that even the Catholic church kept the 7th Day Sabbath for more than 300 years after the death of Yahshua Messiah. Would not Common sense then dictate that the writer of Collosians AND those he wrote to DID KEEP the Sabbath. HOW COULD ANYONE JUDGE THEM ABOUT THE WAY THEY KEEP THE SABBATH IF THEY WERE NOT KEEPING THE SABBATH? The writer is clearly saying don't let anyone judge you over HOW YOU KEEP THE SABBATH! In order to be judged by the WAY you keep a Holy Day, you HAVE TO BE KEEPING IT! Where they seem to trip up is in verse 17 where it says "which are a shadow of things to come," they WANT that to be a DISMISSAL from Sabbath, but it is FAR FROM IT! The phrase, "they ARE a "shadow of things to come," lends you to believe that the Sabbaths are to be kept BECAUSE they foreshadow and teach principles and TRUTHS that are FOR A FUTURE TIME where the SABBATH will be made PERFECT in its application, and therefore, Sabbaths are valuable lessons to pass down to your FUTURE GENERATIONS! We started out by discussing "the Day of the Lord," then spent a lot of time talking about the Sabbath day, you are probably wondering why. It's simple. The Sabbath day FORESHADOWS a FUTURE EVENT, And that event IS the Coming Of Yahshua Messiah back to the Earth to establish YAHWEH's Kingdom on Earth AT THE BEGINNING of the SABBATH MILLENNIUM! THE COMING DAY OF "REST" Yahshua spoke of a time when his followers would have "rest" for their souls. He was using the word REST because it directly correlates to the Sabbath Day, wherein Yahweh finished the work of creation and RESTED ON THE SEVENTH DAY. The command of Yahweh given to Moses was that Yahweh's people would NOT WORK on the Sabbath but rest, and these things are a foreshadow of things to come.
I am AMAZED, SHOCKED, DISMAYED, CUT ASUNDER IN SPIRIT, and MORTIFIED, at the way some people have turned this scripture upside down, making it to mean that we REST FROM GOOD WORKS AND KEEPING THE LAW, and lie down and let SIN WASH OVER US! I'm telling you now, shouting from the very roof tops that THIS IS A LIE FROM THE PIT OF HELL! Such want to teach that Yahshua gives us "REST" in that now we are saved through FAITH ALONE and no longer have to TOIL OVER GOOD WORKS! What an ABOMINABLE, PUTRID, HORRIFYING LIE FROM SATAN HIMSELF! They have put "darkness for light, and light for darkness," when they interpret MESSIAH in this twisted lying fashion! Yahshua was IN FACT explaining to us HOW EASY IT WILL BE to KEEP THE LAW when we "take up our cross and LEARN FROM HIM." How so? I'm so very glad you ASKED! Yahshua DID the will of his Father, and the words he SPOKE were the words COMMANDED of the Father. If you read the Gospel of John starting in Chapter 5 and continued on into Chapter 19 you will see what I am talking about. Yahshua made it clear to us that he never "did anything that the Father didn't command Him to do," and he never "said anything that the Father didn't command Him to say," he also went so far as to say that the "works" he did were NOT HIS but the "Fathers." This my dear friends is HIS YOKE, which he told us to carry! He commanded us to NOT DO ANYTHING THE FATHER DOESN'T COMMAND US TO DO, and to NOT SAY ANYTHING THAT THE FATHER DIDN'T COMMAND US TO SAY! This is entering into the REST of Yahweh! When we CEASE FROM OUR OWN WORKS AND DOINGS, and DO ONLY THE FATHER'S WILL! That is THE LESSON the Sabbath Day teaches us! It is the WAY TO SALVATION! Through the power brought to us by Yahshua, when he went to the cross at the WILL OF THE FATHER, and then sent to us the HOLY SPIRIT to teach us how to DO THE SAME, we can now DO AS YAHSHUA DID! We can enter the rest, quit striving with the law, and instead FULFILL IT! WHAT A GLORIOUS HOPE WE HAVE! There is coming a day, NOT FAR OFF, when the people of Yahweh will DARE TO TAKE HIM at HIS WORD, and shall step forward in power, and OBEY HIS EVERY COMMAND! When they speak it will be the FATHER'S words, when they DO SOMETHING it will be THE FATHER'S WORKS! This is the KEY, the everlasting KEYS TO THE KINGDOM, delivered to all who believe that Yahshua is the MESSIAH, the SON OF THE LIVING GOD (and NOT GOD)! We now have power, THROUGH GRACE AND THROUGH FAITH. We will OBEY YAHWEH because we BELIEVE HIS SON, and HIS WORD, when HE TOLD US THAT WE CAN DO IT! That is the GREAT HOPE, THE BLESSED HOPE! NON SABBATH KEEPERS It is also the STUMBLING BLOCK AND THE ROCK OF OFFENSE! Because, MAN'S RELIGION has obliterated this truth from the face of the earth (OR SO THEY THINK!) Christianity will NEVER bring a person to this truth because to OBEY YAHWEH, to the scope and magnitude that Messiah obeyed, that takes FAITH! YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE YOU CAN DO IT THROUGH YAHSHUA'S POWER, and most REFUSE TO BELIEVE THIS! They have utterly rejected the POWER OF YAHWEH! They teach IT IS IMPOSSIBLE to OBEY YAHWEH, and it is IMPOSSIBLE to cease from their own will and do ONLY THE WILL OF THE FATHER! Ask most Christians: "can you live as Jesus lived in the earth, WITHOUT SIN, COMPLETELY AND TOTALLY PERFECT, in this life?" They will answer with a RESOUNDING and EMPHATIC NO, and since you have to BELIEVE IT for it to HAPPEN, they've FAILED THE MOST CRUCIAL TEST OF ALL, and they are RIGHT, they NEVER CAN AND THEY NEVER WILL, their OWN LACK OF FAITH IN THE POWER has sealed their fate! They will live and die NEVER HAVING ATTAINED TO THE GLORY! However, the final generation, the ones who SEE YAHSHUA'S return will EITHER BE OBEYING YAHWEH, or they will be CAST OUT WITH THE HYPOCRITES!
According to Yahshua, when He returns at His second coming, how will the wicked be judged and the righteous be "spared" from His wrath? Will he look at a list of names and everyone who's ever said the sinner's prayer will be "spared?" NOT according to HIM! He tells us plainly that we must watch and be PREPARED for his second coming, so that we are not caught "eating and drinking with drunken men, and smiting our fellow servants." This coming of Yahshua will be a surprise for those who think they are NO LONGER obligated to obey the commands! Those who do NOT realize that being "faithful" according to verse 45, is to be "found so doing," according to verse 46! Being faithful means to DO something, not just to "believe" something! The coming GREAT AND TERRIBLE DAY of the lord MAY come on a SABBATH DAY, or DURING A SABBATH FEAST, or at least it's POSSIBLE! What if it does, and WHAT IF keeping the Sabbath is JUST AS IMPORTANT AS THE OTHER 9 COMMANDMENTS? Will those who are not "so doing" be "cut asunder?" As for me, I'm going to keep the Sabbath, just to make sure! Of course, no man knows, that's for certain, however, I ask you all one pertinent question! What if you KEEP THE NINE COMMANDMENTS, and yet DO NOT KEEP THE FOURTH, which is the Sabbath, and Yahshua RETURNS ON THAT SABBATH? According to his word, whoever is caught in transgression in that hour will be "cut asunder!" Those are ominous WORDS from Messiah, and not to be taken lightly. I, for one, DO NOT want to take that chance. I will strive to ENTER the REST of which HE spoke, and cease from my own works and my own doings WHILE I STILL HAVE BREATH IN ME! At this point a lot of people have stopped and asked, "WAIT A MINUTE, are you saying that if Yahshua came today he would cast out EVERYONE he catches living in unrighteousness?" I tell them EMPHATICALLY that is EXACTLY what Yahshua said would happen at HIS COMING! When I tell MOST this FACT in person, they stand and gape at me in awe, and then ask me how I became so confused, but they ONLY think I'M the one confused because they CANNOT BELIEVE! They REFUSE to believe in the POWER OF LOVE, and it's ability to MAKE YOU WITHOUT SPOT OR WRINKLE! They have a "form of godliness," their Religions, but they "deny the POWER, thereof." These same people then ask me "are you perfect, then?" To which I have to reply, "NO!" They then shake their heads and say, "so you believe that if Jesus came today you would be cast out!" I tell them that "if Yahshua came RIGHT NOW, I would in NO WISE be cast out, for at this very moment I am NOT walking in DISOBEDIENCE, however, what if 3 minutes from now I say in my heart, "he won't come right now, so I can do this or that WICKED thing, and pray later for forgiveness," MY FRIENDS I would then be playing RUSSIAN ROULETTE with my SALVATION, for what if at that very moment I commit the OFFENSE, Yahshua RETURNS?" That is why he warns us to WATCH AND BE PREPARED! It is also, INDEED, WHY He hasn't returned yet! He's waiting for US ALL to repent and walk in the SPIRIT!
Many have quoted these above verses and applied them to the "lost," saying that the Lord is "longsuffering" waiting for the LOST to "come to repentance," and "say the sinners prayer." This is UTTER NONSENSE. Why? Because Peter says here he is longsuffering to US, and includes HIMSELF and EVERYONE TO WHOM HE IS WRITING the epistle! Another thing MOST have missed in these verses is the word "perish." It is CLEARLY a cross reference to the promise in Matthew that if the Lord comes and finds HIS SERVANTS doing EVIL, they shall be cast OUT! Verse 11 proves this point. Peter focuses not on what manner of "GRACE and FAITH" we should have, but rather on WHAT MANNER OF PERSONS we should be. In other words, the CRUCIAL POINT is HOW WE CONDUCT OURSELVES in GODLINESS! Then in verse 12 he states that our CONDUCT will HASTEN the COMING OF THE LORD! This is the most ASTOUNDING revelation of ALL! That we, through our FAITHFUL OBSERVANCE of GODLINESS through the SPIRIT will actually BRING ABOUT the COMING GREAT TERRIBLE DAY OF THE LORD! How so? Because, once EVERYONE who BELIEVES is WALKING IN GODLINESS, Yahshua Messiah can RETURN without having to CAST ANY OF THEM OUT! People, don't you see, this is describing a day of UNIVERSAL ONENESS of SPIRIT among the believers. A day when the BELIEVERS are ALL DOING YAHSHUA'S WORKS! This will USHER IN THE PERPETUAL SABBATH DAY, the MILLENIAL SABBATH! THE DAY OF THE LORD! This is SIMPLY AMAZING! WALKING IN LUST RATHER THAN IN THE SPIRIT The DANGER of WALKING IN YOUR OWN LUSTS is that you will be found UNFAITHFUL at the SECOND COMING OF MESSIAH! We must ALL REPENT of these evil works that we do, and walk in the SPIRIT, before it is TOO LATE TO DO SO! Yahweh is WAITING FOR US TO DO IT, He's given us the POWER and the OPPORTUNITY, now we MUST BELIEVE, walk in FAITH, and fulfill this!
I have quoted here the ENTIRE CHAPTER to DRIVE HOME the MESSAGE! This to me is one of the MOST exciting revelations in the sacred texts and in the EPISTLES! The DAY when Yahshuah sets up HIS kingdom, and the ENTIRE WORLD ceases from their own works and their own doings and DOES THE WILL OF THE FATHER! BETTER OFF NOT KNOWING THE TRUTH?
Peter is here driving at something very important. That if those in the PAST who lived ungodly on earth and even the ungodly ANGELS in heaven were ALL JUDGED for their sin, how can someone who CLAIMS to KNOW the SON OF GOD personally, and someone who CLAIMS to BELIEVE in Yahshua Messiah expect to ESCAPE JUDGEMENT for SINS COMMITTED? In fact, Peter concludes chapter 2 by saying that someone who WILLINGLY and FLAGRANTLY walks UNGODLY after following Yahshua Messiah would have been better off NOT EVER KNOWING the WAY OF RIGHTEOUSNESS!
As we can CLEARLY see here, the FOCUS, again, is NOT on "grace through faith," but rather on OUR BEHAVIOR! In verse 21 it doesn't say "after they have known it, to turn from GRACE and FAITH!" It says "from the HOLY COMMANDMENT!" All of the above verses are talking about RIGHTEOUSNESS, and that how SOME would, after being RESCUED from the POWER OF SIN and CORRUPTION, then turn BACK to their POLLUTIONS, and ALL THE WHILE they would be SHOUTING LIBERTY! Friends, only a BLIND man could READ those verses and come away with the SILLY NOTION that we are NO LONGER UNDER THE HOLY COMMANDMENT! That we can go on SINNING and SINNING and NEVER EXPECT to be JUDGED! True LIBERTY is being SET FREE FROM SIN, and WALKING IN GODLINESS through the HOLY SPIRIT OF LOVE! GETTING BACK TO THE DAY If, therefore, a DAY is different to Yahweh than what we SEE as a DAY, it becomes very CLEAR that the SABBATH DAY hints at a COMING DAY, NOT JUST A THOUSAND YEARS but FOREVER, PERPETUAL, ETERNALLY, when MAN ENTERS THE REST OF GOD, when man ceases from HIS OWN WORKS and DOINGS, and does ONLY THE WILL OF THE FATHER! We are presently living in the TWILIGHT OF THE SIXTH DAY, and Yahweh is awaiting OUR ENTERING INTO HIS REST ON HIS SABBATH!
We are about to ENTER the FINAL DAY, and it is a SABBATH DAY which will NEVER END, (for I do NOT foresee a time that AFTER we enter the REST of Yahweh, and cease from our works and doings and do HIS WILL, that we should EVER turn once again to our OWN WILL).
If you still aren't convinced that the writer of Hebrews is here talking about the PERPETUAL SABBATH DAY, lets read the end of Chapter 3 and the beginning of Chapter 4!
There remains a REST for THOSE WHO BELIEVE, which is related to the SABBATH TEACHING and is a COMPLETE REST from your OWN WORKS! We must NOW press into that DAY, the DAY OF THE LORD, and stop messing around with "THE LORD'S DAY." My BELOVED friends, the time is SHORT SHORT SHORT! Soon, yes very soon, Yahshua will COME, the trumpet will sound, and those who have entered into HIS REST will take part in the MOST GLORIOUS KINGDOM ever seen on earth! But, I ask you, HOW CAN YOU HOPE to enter INTO THAT REST of which Yahshua was made PERFECT, if you CAN'T OR WON'T enter into the WEEKLY SABBATH which is YOUR SCHOOLMASTER to bring you to that PLACE? The answer is YOU CANNOT! Every journey begins with ONE SMALL STEP! I believe that WE WHO KNOW AND BELIEVE are CALLED to DECLARE this TRUTH, and SO, usher in THAT FINAL MOMENT, when there shall be NO MORE TIME ALLOWED TO THE SINNER TO REPENT OF HIS WICKEDNESS! That day is fast approaching! The very fact that this truth is NOW available is TESTIMONY IN AND OF ITSELF that the DAY draws NEAR! DENYING THE SABBATH DENIES THE CREATOR When you deny the Sabbath day, change it, distort it, or JUST PLAIN IGNORE IT, you are DENYING YAHWEH as YOUR CREATOR! You are saying "he made me not!" This very danger was pointed out to us long ago by Isaiah!
These two verses are CLEARLY talking about the WRITTEN WORD of Yahweh, which is SPIRITUALY SEALED, so that you MUST HAVE HIS SPIRIT to understand them.
These two verses are talking about those who RELY ON THE WISDOM OF MEN rather than the POWER OF YAHWEH to teach them HOW TO OBEY HIS COMMANDS! That wisdom is DOOMED TO FAIL THEM!
This verse SPEAKS DIRECTLY to those who are now teaching that the BLOOD OF YAHSHUA hides their SINS from Yahweh, and he doesn't see them at all! They erroniously teach that Yahweh, when he looks at us, sees ONLY THE BLOOD of THE LAMB shed for their sins!
There you have it then, the crux of it! When they ELIMINATE the SABBATH, they are saying quite plainly to Yahweh that "you made me not," furthermore they are denying that Yahweh HIMSELF FRAMED the LAW, and they are calling into QUESTION HIS UNDERSTANDING of the matter, and INDEED of the LAW!
